This REI always has the best people working on the floor! The floor is always organized and clean and the ops team knows what’s up too! The cash wrap is so lovely and the bike techs team too!! - shout out to Nicholas - yall are amazing and very knowledgeable. They have a lovely shoe department and have always been so accommodating! Thank you so much for being the best REI in Tampa!! 😍😍😍

Had a great experience with Ian yesterday. He fit me for a multiday backpacking pack and gave me great advice re not only packs, but also sleep systems, tents, and beyond. Great guy who clearly loves his job and helping people!

Dave is the absolute man! I came in unsure about hiking boots and left with the perfect pair in mind thanks to his knowledge, patience, and spot-on recommendations. He genuinely cares and goes above and beyond to help—not just doing a job, but making sure your adventures start right. It’s his passion that makes the difference. Even the other customers were friendly and full of good energy—it’s just that kind of place. I’ll absolutely be back because of Dave. We need more Dave’s in the world!

This was my first time at this REI location but I'm a long time shopper. I was looking for a pair of hiking boots or shoes. First there was no one in the shoe department. I had to do find someone and then I got what I can only describe as blob of uselessness. this women knew nothing about what she was selling. I worked for Gander Mountain and trust me when I say there are all sorts of resources that give you discounts on product when you take their training. She could have made her self useful. But okay maybe it was her first day at least common sense would say take the damn shoes back when you go back to get other shoes. She couldn't even do that. By the time we left there were no less than 20 shoe boxes sitting around on the floor. The bright spot in all this was the love cashier who managed to notice that one of the shoes we were buying had different sized shoes in the box. FYI one of the shoes wasn't a size the other woman had brought to us.

They fixed my bike up ok I guess but the price was out of this world over $70 bucks for one tire and they did absolutely nothing else complementary wise. I suggest if you really want a well quality affordable fix go to a smaller local store because this place is extremely overpriced and my bike tire broke not a week later I never felt more scammed in my life. Honestly I would never go back here, I tried university bike shop for a new bike tire and tube and they did it for less than $50 I've been riding well for over a month and they tuned up my bike for me complementary and fixed my breaks, unless you're in the business of throwing away cash I'd suggest a cheaper alternative.
