2 weeks agoVery cute zoo! I hadn’t been since I was a kid so I didn’t remember much about it. It was exciting to come back and bring my own kids. They had so much fun that we bought a membership (even though we live in Phoenix). I couldn’t believe how reasonably priced it was for our entire family. The animals in the zoo were very active and my kids loved feeding the giraffes. It was only $4 each person, which wasn’t bad for the experience.

2 months agoThis zoo definitely has a lot going on, seems they are consistently updating the venue and looking to add new exhibits. The animals seem happy and well cared for. My family thoroughly enjoyed our outing to the zoo. The staff are friendly and relatively well informed over all. I did not try the food, however it did smell quite inviting. Almost all areas are well maintained and available to the disabled with limited issues, absolutely a high praise as many places overlook the need for wider spaces. Parking can be an issue but over all in an area with this much traffic, they seem to do well with this. There is more than enough handicapped accessible parking. The only thing I did not like about the zoo was the high cost for renting a scooter for the disabled. 25 dollars deposit plus 25 dollars to rent one. A lot of disabled people will not be able to afford this as disability often comes with lower income.

a week agoThis is a nice little zoo. The ticket price was very inexpensive if you are looking for something to do for a few hours. There was a wide range of animals available for viewing. We did try to book their animal encounters a few weeks before our trip and they were sold out. If you are interested in feeding or touching giraffes or capybaras then you need to book well in advance. The line to get in was quite long but it appears you can buy mobile tickets and bypass the wait. I was there shortly after opening time and had to park far away. There were also plenty of shaded areas to take a break from the hot Arizona sun. Some of the animals were difficult to see in their enclosures but overall a nicely laid out zoo.

a month agoLimited experiences, but all were nice. 90% of animals were present and well visible. Front office ticketing staff wasn't so kind but seemed like an off day. The park is fun for families and the weather in March is perfect! Highlights included the baby elephant with the herd, the giraffes roaming, the Aviary with the bird guide, Zebras, Capybara and the awesome playground!

4 weeks agoWe had another behind the scenes tour and absolutely loved it! Jed is amazing and always teaches us so much. We highly recommend getting a tour with your favorite animal. Seeing the new additions coming to fruition is exciting. Our zoo is a legacy that needs to keep being enjoyed.
