3 months agoNice and secluded but oh my gosh!! Mosquitoes. I will not be back. Me and my dog were walking for 10 minutes and I couldn't stand it we didn't have any bug repellent so me and him ran out of there it was extremely bad!! I wouldn't go back even if i was dipped in bug repellent that's how bad the mosquitoes are.

5 years agoNice little area for a short hike next to the water. Cool little deck to do some bird watching or watch the sun rise or set. Tree canopy throughout the trails. Thankfully the trails were lined with gravel, otherwise it would've been muddy. Very nice place. The parking area was closed due to the recent flood. Hiked a little over a mile looping around to hike the cut through trails as well.

2 years agoVery isolated and quiet. Although I did not encounter one, there were many footprints and trace of deers, I bet more than few live in the forest. Mosquitos are crazy, there were more than ten constantly looking to bite me while on trail. Be prepared.

6 years agoI've only been in the pre-dawn hours but the pier is a really quiet, serene, and beautiful place to watch the sunrise.
