Perfect For

Young Children (1-6 years): Explicitly catered for with 'playground equipment for the littles' and short, easily walkable trails.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Ensure children use a restroom before arriving, or plan for an immediate departure, as there are no public facilities at the park.
  • Bring water and snacks, as no on-site vendors or additional amenities are mentioned beyond picnic benches.
  • Ideal for a quick outdoor activity (1-2 hours) rather than an extended day trip due to limited amenities.
  • Consider bringing bikes, scooters, or strollers to fully utilize the paved paths.
  • Go in the morning for a 'nice, quiet place' experience, suitable for a run or a peaceful walk.

Things to Consider

  • Absolutely no public restrooms available on-site, requiring families to leave the park if a child needs to use a bathroom.
  • Perceived by some visitors as primarily designed for surrounding neighborhood residents, potentially less of a destination for those traveling from further away.

Price & Value

No admission fee is mentioned, indicating it is a free public park. It offers excellent value for a beautiful, well-maintained outdoor space with a playground and walking paths, but the absence of basic amenities like restrooms is a notable drawback for a family venue.

  • Paved paths are suitable for strollers, wheelchairs, and likely other mobility aids, suggesting good physical accessibility.
  • No specific accommodations for sensory needs or other disabilities are mentioned beyond general paved access.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • Outside food is permitted and encouraged due to the presence of picnic benches and the absence of any on-site food vendors or restrictions mentioned in reviews.

  • Parking situation is not explicitly detailed, but its location 'in a neighborhood' implies reliance on street parking or a small, possibly informal, lot. No mention of difficulty or cost of parking.

  • Located in a neighborhood, which often implies a sense of community oversight and security.
  • No specific security personnel, monitored entry points, or first aid stations are mentioned.

When to Avoid

  • Families needing immediate access to public restrooms.
  • Parents seeking very long, challenging, or wilderness-style hiking trails for older, adventurous children.
  • Visitors expecting on-site services such as cafes, rental equipment, or extensive visitor centers.

Great park with a playground in a neighborhood. Nice short trail that leads to the River. I came from out of state and wanted to take my kid to a walkable trail near by. He loved it. He had to use the bathroom and there were none. So we went back to the house and came back. Would love to visit again.

Really lovely park with a nicely paved path for walking. They also had a nice looking playground, a picnic bench that overlooked the water and lots of cool trees.

This park was nearby to a family member's home that I was visiting. I was looking for a nice, safe place to do a quick morning run, and I found it! The park was beautiful. There was a nice, paved circular "track" that provided some shade, some sun, a few hills, and valleys.. it made for a fun and slightly challenging run. The water side area was lovely. Lots of folks walking and riding bicycles. Strollers, a gazebo, a play area/playground equipment for the littles. It was overall a nice, quiet place to hang out or enjoy some nature views while I ran.

This park is beautiful!!! Tucked away, down by the river, in a neighborhood, but absolutely beautiful. The old trees are magical, nice playground and public dock. However, it seems mostly designed for the surrounding neighbors. We live a few miles away and couldn't resist pulling over for a visit.
