My dad and I recently had the exhilarating experience of white water rafting on the James River, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Scott was incredibly knowledgeable, ensuring everyone felt safe while still maintaining the excitement of navigating the rapids. The combination of breathtaking scenery and heart-pounding action made for an unforgettable adventure. The rapids varied from calm sections where we could take in the stunning surroundings to intense, roaring waters that had us gripping our paddles for dear life. The camaraderie among the group was fantastic, with everyone working together to conquer the challenges! Overall, this white water rafting trip was an amazing adventure that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a combination of natural beauty and heart-racing fun. Had a great experience at Riverside Outfitters - the owner, Matt, was super accommodating and answered all of my questions to decide if it was right for kids based on the water level and flow (it was for mine). Our guide, Scott, facilitated a great trip down the river; highly recommend!

The river was pretty high, so we travelled a longer section for the same time. Loved our guide Hailey! She told us lots about the river area and worked to make the rapids fun. We were a group of 6, so we were in one boat. The trip is very fun! If you have never been white water rafting, this is an excellent place to start. I would highly recommend.

Great kayaking experience with Riverside Outfitters. Easy online booking, smooth check in, quick transport to drop off location, short introduction, then a wonderful 2 hour ride on the James River. Everything was well organized and clearly explained. We will be back soon. Thanks for the awesome experience!
