Kids who enjoy swings and slides in an open setting.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Anticipate significant issues with the on-site bathroom; consider using facilities elsewhere before arriving or preparing for a potentially unpleasant experience.
  • Be prepared for long lines at the single-stall bathroom, especially if visiting with potty-training children or during busy times, as it's used by the wider park.
  • Manage expectations regarding the sandbox; it may not be suitable or easily accessible for very young children due to its height and lack of ramps.

Things to Consider

  • The on-site bathroom is consistently described as 'atrocious,' 'decrepit,' and 'filthy'.
  • The bathroom is a single stall, located just outside the entrance, and often has a long line due to use by general park-goers, making it challenging for potty trainers.
  • The sandbox is 'awkward,' 'almost too tall' for children to climb into, and lacks stairs or a ramp, limiting accessibility for younger kids.

Price & Value

Not mentioned in reviews. As a public playground, it is typically free.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • The main play structure is described as 'wheelchair accessible (to a point),' featuring ramps and bridges.
  • The sandbox is noted as difficult to access due to its height and lack of ramps/stairs, making it not wheelchair-friendly.

👥Crowd Levels

  • The single-stall bathroom often has a line, indicating it can get busy, especially with non-playground users from the wider park.
  • The playground itself is described as spacious, which might help mitigate crowding in general play areas, but the bathroom is a choke point.

When to Avoid

  • If clean and easily accessible restrooms are a non-negotiable priority for your family.
  • If your child is very young and the sandbox is a primary draw, as its design may be frustrating and inaccessible.
  • Families with multiple young children needing frequent, quick bathroom breaks, due to the single-stall, often-lined bathroom.

Great playground! I don't know what it was like prior to the renovations, so I can't compare. The water feature is so fun and very different than other playgrounds in the area. The play structure is wheelchair accessible (to a point) and provides a great space for kids to run up and down ramps and across bridges. My three year old loved it.

This playground has many features but it has seen better days and the bathroom is atrocious. There are swings and a spray zone. An awkward sandbox takes up the center of the playground. It is almost too tall for children to climb into and there are no stairs nor a ramp. The climbing equipment is extensive and is the redeeming feature of this run of the mill play area. Unfortunately the bathroom is decrepit and filthy. Best to take your children elsewhere.

Note that the bathroom is just outside the entrance, it's a single stall, and half the people using it are from the park not the playgrounds. So there's normally a line, something to bear in mind if you've got a potty trainer.

Spacious playground with water feature at the edge of the east meadow. Restroom at site. Sandbox, swings and jungle with various slides. Good for young kids.
