6 years agoWow! The new open space is a big improvement over the old gym. It's amazing and a must stop for any climber. The new walls are of great quality with a varied number of surfaces. The gym feels much more open and less crammed than it did before. Great job and an amazing place to climb and train. The staff are amazing, friendly, and down to earth. I only wish it had a crack climb. Otherwise it's perfect.

2 months agoBeen climbing here and the bloc for over a year now, love these places but- evenings(even after 3-4pm) at rocks and ropes are beyond packed, the experience is chaotic and unpleasant which is unfortunate for those who only have time to climb after work. Hopefully there are plans to expand and grow because demand is clearly exceeding the limited space

5 years agoThis place is fantastic. While it can be a little pricy, there is days for student and military discounts, and the first-timer package is cheaper on Wednesday too. Other than that, it has everything you'll need to get a good climb in, with really challenging routes, as well as easier ones. This Is a great place to work out or just have fun. They have multiple bouldering areas, tonns of walls, and a great time to be had.

11 months agoMy daughter and I worked out here extensively 5 years ago and loved the place. We've recently started climbing again and Rocks and Ropes is still wonderful. Friendly staff, good training, friendly atmosphere and constantly changing routes. There are always a good number of routes for all abilities. 09/2023 Update: still a special place for good workouts, pushing your limits, and good family time. I recommend this place for anyone interested in climbing: young, old, male, female, other. Great atmosphere!

3 months agoI just want to point out some of the sketchiness of the waiver that this community signs. Rocks and ropes can not be sued even if they don't, say maintain their equipment or forget to bolt some of the devices or holds to the wall. They can't be sued if they don't maintain their stuff and it results in someone getting hurt. I can see not being accountable for people getting hurt but not being accountable because your negligent is sketchy. We sign agreements in every aspect of our lives, from Facebook to the climbing gym where we waive our rights. My question is Should a climbing gym be accountable to maintain its equipment, in a sport where a persons life depends on that equipment? Is there some injustice that we must absolve all these companies from responsibility to keep us safe?
