ROX Climbing Gym at LNPC

I'm rating this gym as a visitor from out of town that was looking for a gym to train at while away from home. I cannot comment on the classes or the adjacent LNPC gym. The good: 1. The staff. Super friendly and got me right in. Seemed like they were willing to help out in any way. 2. The gym is cleaner than most rock climbing gyms. The holds and walls were pretty clean and there wasn't any visible chalk dust in the air. I don't know how long this place has been open, but it looked pretty new and well maintained. 3. The lighting. Most climbing gyms don't have natural lighting, so that is actually pretty nice. The windows do mean there is less climbing surface area, but the natural lighting adds a lot to the ambiance. 4. AC. They have it! 5. Variety. This gym is bouldering heavy, but that makes sense given what outdoor climbing is available in the surrounding area. There are top rope, and lead climb options which is not true of every gym in Orlando. There is a good variety of climbing at all grades (beginner to advanced). The grading seems about average. There were also 4 auto belay stations which I appreciate when traveling without a belay partner. It means I'm not stuck bouldering. There were easy to moderate climbing grades at each of the auto belays. The not so good: Size. This place is really small when compared to other gyms across the country. Not so much when I was comparing it to other gyms in Orlando though. The downside to that is, if you live in Orlando and this is your training facility, there are going to be a limited number of projects at your upper grade level.

Came here from out of state to do some top rope belay climbing. It was a super easy process to get certified so we could climb. We rented all of gear, shoes, belay device, and harness and they even had a chalk bag we could use. The guy who helped us was great and super helpful. It was busy and he managed it well. It’s a smaller gym, but it was still a lot of fun. Lots of bouldering options with plenty of crash pads to keep you safe, a few options for auto belay, and a lot of options for top rope belay. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon. I’d come back here for sure.

Rox is a great climbing gym. The prices are really good for the amount of bouldering, auto belays, top rope and lead line that are available. There was about twenty people when we went and it never seemed like anyone was in your climbing space at anytime! Great location, great staff and routes! Would highly recommend Rox to anyone including first time climbers.

This climbing gym has a variety of bouldering walls. There were also top-rope and auto belay routes that you can choose from. I paid $24 per person including the gear (rental shoes, chalk, and harness). This place is extremely friendly for first-time boulders like me who are nervous about falling - lots of padding on the ground. The staff here are kind and very quick to provide help to customers. Make sure to sign your waiver online before arriving for an easy check-in!

A great place to begin your climbing journey or just once for the thrill. Auto belays, top rope and lead climbing from 29' to 40'+ worth of challenge. Bouldering routes, for beginners and more advanced climbers, are throughout the facility. Numerous windows, so you almost feel like you could be outside. A nice touch.
