RVA Paddlesports

There is no rafting trip better than a trip with RVA Paddlesports. The river is amazing and the guides made the whole experience feel safe, exciting, and super fun for the whole family. Customer service is number one. They knew exactly how to read the water and keep everyone laughing. If you’re looking for a family-friendly adventure or a spicy trip down the lower on the river, this is it. You will want to do it again. Ask me how I know.

I had a great experience with RVA Paddlesports. Our boat leader, Dylan, was awesome and my roommate and I had a great time seeing the James River via white water rafting. The leaders also made a point of pointing out Richmond history — something they did not have to do, but did nonetheless — and I commend them greatly for that. Overall 10/10 experience

My sister and I did the lower James Whitewater Rafting trip today and had the BEST time! Emily was our tour guide and she was very professional and kept us safe while keeping things super fun! She also told us about the history of parts of Richmond as we passed by. They also have a photographer who takes photos that you can purchase for a very reasonable price! I would totally go again in the future!

We had the best day. It was raining and fairly cold but RVA Paddlesports was well equipped and prepared to keep us warm and safe, while still having a great time. Delaney was an incredible guide— fun, professional, and knowledgeable. He was also patient with our less than enthusiastic 11 year old. Seeing the city from the river was awesome- we will definitely use again.

We did the paddle sports tacky lights tour and it was amazing!!!! Our driver, Jamie, was safe, thoughtful, considerate and cool. He let us chill at small houses and would’ve been insistent at must-see houses but we already wanted to get off the bus. The bus had hot chocolate, cookies, and garbage bins so it was clean. Our driver was patient, we had a full age range, got to play our own music and had so much fun. I was nervous about not having more recent reviews… Ages ranged from 3-60s and I’d do it again in a heartbeat! Count this 2024 tacky lights tour as IT. would repeat in a heartbeat!
