7 months agoGreat place, amazing teachers! My daughter has been attending The San Diego Art Camp for several years now. We are always impressed with the quality of the artwork that she comes home with, but more than anything, we value the teachers. They truly care about the children and the families. Thank you San Diego Art Camp! :-)

a year agoThe San Diego Art Camp offers ceramics, painting, photography, and dance lessons on a daily schedule. The teachers, each with many years of experience in teaching art and being artists themselves, bring their knowledge and passion to the camp. I had the opportunity to volunteer several times and witnessed first-hand the dedication and enthusiasm that the teachers have for teaching art to their students. The children really enjoyed their time at camp - many of them didn't want to leave at the end of the day :)

a year agoLast summer's gift of a week at Art Camp for our seven year old granddaughter was one of my husband's and my best investments of the year. As retired university professors of education we appreciated the focused components of the experience as well as the expertise of the two camp leaders in successful delivery of their impressive objectives. And, just as important, it clearly was a fun treat for all!

a year agoI called to inquire about what I feel is a cost preventative rate for their summer camp. I asked if they had scholarships and immediately the woman became defensive. I understand they pay teachers, so do other camps. They are using City property, I would of hoped they would be a better member of the community. There are many other camps with highly trained teachers that will work with families. Unfortunate and disappointing, mostly because the woman was so defensive rather than understanding. I get policies but I would also think in a customer service position, you would want to bring a valid concern to a supervisor or at the very least not be defensive and rude. Too bad, personally not the environment or people I would to place my child under for several hours a day. I would think the artists would want to foster better community as well and consider being employed at camps that care more about thd child than profit.
