a year agoLots of local fresh cherries to buy. Great place to bring the kids. Not much shade or seating. Good food trucks, free water, pleasant volunteers.

6 years agoAs a SL resident, it was great to see the Annual Cherry Festival make a return in 2014. I belong to an all volunteer group that brings awareness to charities by wearing screen accurate costumes featuring characters from Star Wars. We have participated in the morning parade proceeding the opening of the Cherry Festival since 2014.

6 years agoSan Leandro’s century plus celebration of its history as an agricultural community and love of cherries! The day starts off with a parade down San Leandro Boulevard.

4 years agoSan Leandro’s Cherry Festival is a much anticipated annual event held on West Estudillo Avenue in the downtown area near Pelton Plaza. Though it’s mainly a celebration of cherries in all their magnificent forms, in years past, the event has included a car show, food trucks, live music, a beer garden, and some organized kid’s activities. According to locals, the event has been going strong for more than 100 years. It’s a big hit with city residents and out-of-state visitors alike. Parking can be tricky, so consider taking public transportation if you’re staying within city limits.
