a year agoFun yearly festival happening during labor weekend in Independence, Mo. Food was better this year but prices also went up due to inflation. Not really fan of carnivals but there was plenty of family oriented rides for kids. Really enjoy the foods and different pop up shops

8 months agoThis is always a good time. The variety of foods and merchandise vendors is second to none in the area, any time of year. The live bands are great, the local performers on the small stage is also fun. I was grateful to see additional public seating this year. If these were located throughout the grounds, I think it would really help patrons of all ages to really enjoy the festival even more. It's a lot of hoofing in usually pretty intense heat. A few covered benches to take a break in some shade would be appreciated by all. We always come out at least twice over the holiday weekend to take in all that we can. It's always great, never a safety worry, and definitely worth coming back to year after year; we never miss it.

a year agoHad a great time at the festival, great live music for free, M80s and Jimmy Buffett were awesome! Had a great 🌽 dog by the boy scouts, many vendors, everyone was so friendly

7 months agoThis festival has gone downhill over the last 15 years. There used to be crafts and homemade items vendors everywhere, but not so much now. This was my Christmas shopping festival with so many items to choose from. It's so sad to see how many vendors have left and won't come back. They have told me the cost for them to get space is too much. This was the place to be every labor day weekend..not so much anymore. Lots of good food if all you want to do is eat.

8 months agoThe carnival is nothing but a scam this year! I understand the need to make money but a $10 win should at least equal a $10 prize, also all the games are rigged this year. This is our last year doing the carnival, well just support the vendors on the outside of the carnival
