5 months agoI had a lot of fun with my kids at this waterpark, but overall, it left much to be desired. While I wanted to rate it 3 stars for the memories, the experience only merits 2 stars. First, a tip: buy your tickets in advance—you’ll save $10 to $15 per person. However, even at the discounted rate, the $60/person (weekday) price tag feels excessive, especially with half the park closed. The cleanliness was disappointing. The stairs to the slides had trash scattered along the sidelines—surely adding a few trash cans isn’t too much to ask? Worse, the trash cans weren’t emptied often enough, leaving the area with a constant unpleasant smell. For a park of this size and cost, basic upkeep should be a given. The staff accommodations were shocking. I saw employees using a makeshift shack as a break area, sitting on the floor to eat their snacks. It was uncomfortable just watching them. Investing in their comfort would likely lead to better service—which, unfortunately, was already lacking. On the bright side, the boogie board experience was a hit! My kids loved it, and it was the highlight of our visit. But one ride can’t make up for the park’s shortcomings. Galveston deserves a better waterpark. Until significant improvements are made, I wouldn’t recommend it at the current price.

9 months agoHad a great time. The weather paused the pool for awhile, but when it was safe they let everyone back in. Kids were well okay with staying in the lazy river all day. We didn't eat anything, but the adults got some frozen drinks. 🍻 Bought a couple items from the gift shop.

8 months agoStay away from this place. Paid over $450 for my family to come enjoy our Saturday. More than half the park is shut down due to either broken motors on slides or no lifeguards. Yet all food and merchandise shops are open. Several families in line complaining for money back. Guest services were no help. No corporate person to speak to. Save your money and stay away from this place.

8 months agoJust arrived with family of 6 paying hundreds of dollars for daily admission to find out half the park is closed. They have enough staff here for concessions and just a few basic crowded rides. Immediately we asked for refund as we were not aware of the park being mostly closed. The managers at guest relations says it’s not there problem and will not refund anything once paid even if we do not go into the park. This is a management issue. The lower level staff was great but supervision and management is terrible. Never going back and will encourage anyone else to go elsewhere with so many better options even staying home and going to your neighborhood pool is a better value.
