4 months agoI've lived in a lot of different cities and have been to a lot of different water parks, and nothing compares to Schlitterbahn! I've been going since I was a kid but we finally got season passes this last summer. With big amazing water parks comes big crowds and long lines, and you need to be prepared for that. One way to help with this is getting fast passes, but if you don't go that route, I highly recommend getting there as early as you can and lining up for the big rides first. We've done this and were able to walk on to many rides with little to no wait, before it's gets busier around lunchtime. Getting there early means being able to grab your choice of table and chairs, too! Also look into going on the least crowded days, such as the day after the 4th of July or during their end of summer bonus days. Another recommendation, bring water shoes or flips flops to wear while walking between the rides. The ground gets super hot and some areas don't have shade. I have known people that have burned the bottoms of their feet when not having water shoes or flip flops. Overall it's a great place for families and people of all ages! They have something for everyone!

8 months agoThe wait was way long. We were there for more than 6 hours. And just had 4 rides don’t buy the meals if you could bring your own in a cooler. Food is very substandard. We had the burger, chicken sandwich, funnel cake, and brisket sandwich. The service is also substandard. It’s not like it’s cheap to be there. We had better time in East than the west park. The heated pool didn’t feel like heated. The ground set up was efficient with the heat, kept the place cool underneath the master splasher base. Maybe there’s just too many people. Long wait for the shuttle and had the driver switch en route which didn’t look professional. Disappointed. Drove all the way to NB and spent more so we could enjoy. We did make the most of it but won’t spend the day here again if I have other choices.

8 months agoWe went on a Thursday and purchased the Fast Lane band and meal deal. It was perfect! We all got the Wunder Pizza, and it was good--what you'd expect from an amusement park. I haven't been in decades, so we rushed to the blast rides first. I recommend staying at the resort because they allow you in an hour before the park opens. Ride all you can in that hour! The Fast Lane band is a must. The lines were long otherwise, but we got priority. It allowed us to ride almost everything in a day. The lazy river in the blast park is nuts! It's not lazy at all. Don't snooze on that and find the chute along the left side. If you time it right, you can catch air. I'm 40 and a mom, and I was having such a good time acting like a ten year old boy lol If you wanna skip a line, Wolf Pack was a long wait and not really worth it. It's just a 3 person tub type tube with a high-sided pipe. Our favorite rides were Congo River, Whitewater Tube Chute, and Master Blaster. The day we went, the Falls and Cliffhanger were closed due to staffing. The staff was mostly friendly. I chatted with one staff member who did say the guests this year had been terrible, and in the 6 years she's worked there, she's never encountered crowds like that. Maybe that's the reason that the other reviews say the staff is grumpy. Perhaps they've been dealing with rude and entitled people their whole shift or season and they're over it. We had a blast and can't recommend the Fast Lane band enough.

9 months agoSpent two days at the park. Friday was at the Blast park and Sunday at the original park. It’s been 12 years since we have visited. Glad to come back for a couple of days. Spending the extra $ for the Fast Pass definitely makes a difference. Many places gouge you with $ for parking and $ for food. They don’t charge for parking and they encourage you to bring your own food. They have water activities for the whole family. Thinking about a whole family vacation and staying at the park next summer.

10 months agoGreat park for the Summer time! The park is huge with many thrilling rides. The wait time in the normal line is really time taking, more than an hour for all the coasters. I would advise anyone to take the fast pass to use the maximum of the park. The park has east and west wing, they provide tram to take you to both the parks(free). Kids will enjoy, most of them are for 36" to 42" height rides. They provide kidee tube, we need not worry. Plenty of staff allotted in all the places, they help you go through the rides. Lockers are available on a rental basis!Tickets are in deals, we got the all day drink pass which we can refill every 15mintes, it was worth it for this summer 🌞
