4 weeks agoWe come here as often as possible. Staff is always kind, the place is clean and well kept, tons of fascinating and fun adventures to take on. Kids always have a blast and learn something new each visit. It never gets old or boring and kids leave work out and fulfilled. It's an amazing place to have a family day and to learn with your kids.

3 months agoWe love science city and go about once a year. Went with my two boys on a weekday in the winter and it wasn’t packed at all. We didn’t have to wait in line for things and they were free to roam about. It was even fine enough to be outside (their favorite part) and not be too crowded like in spring to fall months. There is such a variety of things to do for all learners which is why we love it. It appeals to us all. Even adults. There’s so much sensory stuff which is also incredible. And a plethora of wisdom to get if you slow down enough to read the incredible info at each section and display or activity. It’s such a beautifully designed place too. A place for kiddos to be themselves, explore new ideas, open their minds and grow in a fun way. I wish public schools educated in this way. I’m sure SC is great for field trips these days. It’s also handicap friendly with elevator access to all levels (3 levels). Being attached to union station is so fun to explore the little shops, grab coffee and see a historic staple in Kansas City. I will say the only downhill is parking. It’s a paid lot ($10 which isn’t bad) or you can street park and walk a ways if available.

a month agoGreat for kids 3 to 10. My 12 year old liked it but didn't have as much fun as my 8 or old. Activities were geared more for the younger kids. Upstairs activities were better for my older child. Verry crowded on weekends. My kids were frustrated at the amount of children swarming each station. Parents have no control and let their kids jump on everything, no thought to taking turns. Many activities were broken or missing vital pieces due to kids stealing them or destroying them. Overall, the experience was positive however, as the dino section and live animals were a hit! They even have a private section for under 3 years to protect rhem from the bigger kids and allow for less stressful play. The museum could use some noise absorption though (floors, walls, anything) it was so loud inside.

a month agoWe came here on a school field trip and ended up staying the whole day. It was pretty crowded with several schools in the morning, but in the afternoon it was much calmer. There are quite a bit of things to check out and explore. Many things for the kids and even adults to learn about and interact with. They have a few activities set up in addition to the regular things. The staff seemed nice. It is a big place with a couple of floors plus the outside area.

2 weeks agoJust go! It’s amazing. Indoor and outdoor playgrounds alone are worth the visit. Train exhibit, water treatment display, and more. My 4-year-old loved! Best thing I’ve taken my daughter to. An amazing time!
