💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • **Bring your own water:** While a fountain exists, initial reviews highlight a past lack, so bringing extra water is advisable, especially for longer stays.
  • **Plan for limited restrooms:** Expect only a porta-potty or no permanent restroom facilities; plan potty breaks accordingly, especially for young children.
  • **Check dog for ticks:** If using the dog park, be aware that the tall grass may increase tick exposure; check pets thoroughly after visits.
  • **Visit during daylight hours:** Due to reported lack of lighting, it's best to visit during the day for safety.
  • **Come prepared for active play:** The park's open space is ideal for walking, running, and extended playground sessions.

Things to Consider

  • Inconsistent information regarding restrooms: some reviews state no bathrooms, while one mentions a porta-potty and another parent was still searching. Do not expect permanent, full-service restrooms.
  • Dog park grass is reported as not well-maintained and too high, raising concerns about ticks for pets and discomfort for owners.
  • Lacking lights for safety, which could be a concern during dusk or evening visits.
  • Initial reviews noted a lack of water stations, though a water fountain for both dogs and people was installed in April 2020 (still, it might be the only one).

Sea Isle Park is a gem—clean, spacious, and full of life. It’s always buzzing with activity, but never feels overcrowded thanks to how big and open the layout is. It’s a great place to walk, run, or just soak in some fresh air. The walking track is well-maintained and perfect for all fitness levels. The dog park is a hit with pet owners, and the playground keeps the kids entertained for hours. It also feels safe, which is a big deal. The only downside? No bathrooms or water stations. That’s a definite inconvenience, especially for families or anyone spending serious time out there. But hey, it is what it is. Overall, Sea Isle is a solid park with a lot to offer. Four stars, easy.

Not worth it as a dog park destination. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Wide, open, secure space for dogs to play, but the grass isn't well maintained. It's too high - I worry about ticks on the pups and general itchiness for me! If this park was in our neighborhood, we'd be out mowing it for sure.

The Sea Isle Dog Park was created by The Sea Isle Park Neighborhood Association (SIPNA) by agreement with the City of Memphis/Park Commission and is privately funded and maintained by SIPNA. There are 2 acres of land for off-leash play, including a system of berms for dogs to run and jump. Two sally ports (double gated pens) make entry & exit safe and easy. A water fountain for both dogs and people was installed April, 2020.

This Park has potential! Centrally located in Memphis. However lacking lights for safety and still searching for a restroom.
