a year agoLove this place! My spouse and I do a few laps around the lake every Sunday morning. Then we have coffee on a trellised bench while watching and listening to all the amazing birds and other wildlife that inhabit the lake and the surrounding park area. Not to mention the picturesque oxygen giving mature trees. Bliss!

Currently spanning 2,000 acres, the Basin is the largest open space in the area and the second largest in the city. It boasts many community facilities including Lake Balboa, walking trails, golf courses, and the Japanese Garden, among others.

7 months agoa beautiful place, the only thing is that they have allowed many vendors that make the park look more like a swap market and dirty, but the people who live between the river and trees create a not very safe environment, what a shame because the park is beautiful In the middle of the cities it is a lung with its excellent trees.

a year agoAn absolute gem in the valley. A beautiful lake you can fish in. There's also some swan boats you can rent for 12 dollars a person. Huge amount of green throughout. You'll see wild critters all around and maybe even get a chance to feed some ducks. Great place to setup for a picnic

11 months agoLake Balboa Park is very beautiful for the family or for any individual who would like to get away from the hustle of it all and relax. You can rent Swann paddle boats and bicycles and there's always lifeguards and park rangers driving around for our safety. And if you like to fish, the lake has largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill and tilapia. Not sure about trout.
