a month agoThe thrust stage setup is inspired by the original Globe Theatre. The period costumes are great and reflect the era while identifying the character's social standing. Several levels of seating with upgrade options. The catered food options are good. Full bar in the lobby.

2 months agoI had reservations when some friends invited us. What an amazing evening. Organization= Excellent Bar cocktails and cocktails and bartenders= Excellent Seating= Excellent, dont think there is a bad seat in the house. Atmosphere= Excellent and a charming representation of the Globe Theatre Food= It is cafe style where you need to order at a counter but that is a perfect way to handle. All food options were amazing. I know this as I think my party ordered 90% of the menu. Excellent. Play Performance= Amazing. Will you not understand half what they say due to the language of the time? Probably and it won't matter. Go. Go with some friends or family. Have an amazing evening.

3 weeks agoFantastic experience from the warm welcome when we arrived to the delicious food, all the way to the standing ovation to a crew most excellent. I am a little harder of hearing and rely on subtitles for lots of things, so most of the play kinda seemed like I was watching Sims speak, but even with that, I was able to follow the story along with their wonderful acting, and their skill in incredible. I can't imagine how they memorize all those lines. Fantastic night with a friend, highly recommend!!

2 months agoIt was a great play. We saw Romeo and Juliette. The actors were really good as well. They need to work on their food though. The three of us all got the shepherds pie covered with a thick mashed potato, and all three dishes had varying amounts of food. Mine was mostly masked potatoes which was a big let down. The other two dishes had much more beef than mine. But all three of us had wished the mashed potatoes had been warmer and not so thick. The salad that comes on the side was good salad though. We also had the tomato basil soup with a side of zucchini bread and it was AMAZING….the best part of the meal! My husband had the turkey chili and it was very good as well but the soup was better! My husband got the cream cheese brownie and it was too dry. At the end of the meal my daughter got the root bear float (she liked it), and my husband and I got the apply crisp which was very good, but again had varying amounts of the actual cobbler part. Mine was very little but didn’t know it because it was covered in the ice cream. I wished I had just ordered the cobbler and ice cream separately so I could e made sure to get equal amounts of the apple filling. Overall we enjoyed ourselves very much! The atmosphere is small and quaint and had a very “Elizabethan” feel to it. It was entertaining and made for a great “different” experience.

4 months agoI highly recommend not only attending a show but volunteering and donating to this amazing establishment. I attended a showing of A Christmas Carol and every childhood memory of my first time seeing a Shakespeare production came flooding in & to top it off, I attended this show with my teenage daughter. From the casting, to the beautiful wardrobe, amazing singing, warm atmosphere & affordable treats, you cannot go wrong with this Tavern. 5 stars across the board, thank you for an amazing experience. I will definitely be back.
