💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →Consider visiting in the evening for a well-lit, scenic experience, potentially utilizing the fire pits.
- →If planning to use a fire pit, be prepared to arrive early to 'stake out' a spot.
- →Bring sun hats, sunscreen, and plenty of water, especially during sunny hours, as there is 'no shade'.
- →Ideal for children who prefer playing without sand.
- →Encourage children to look out for ships and boats for an added observational activity.
Things to Consider
- ⚠The playground is explicitly described as 'small in size' and 'not very big', potentially limiting play variety for some.
- ⚠There is 'no shade' available, requiring parents to bring their own sun protection or plan visits for cooler times of day.
Price & Value
This is likely a free public park, with no entry fees or costs mentioned. The 'free little library' reinforces the no-cost nature of the venue, offering excellent value for a family outing.
♿Accessibility & Special Needs
- •No specific accessibility accommodations (e.g., wheelchair access to play structures, sensory-friendly features) were mentioned in the reviews.
🍎Food & Drink Policy
- •Not explicitly stated, but the presence of fire pits strongly suggests that bringing your own food for grilling, picnics, or s'mores is permitted and encouraged.
🚗Parking Info
- •No specific details regarding parking (availability, cost, type) were mentioned in the reviews.
👥Crowd Levels
- •The nearby 'small beach without the crowd' suggests that overall, the area may not be excessively busy. However, as the playground itself is 'small', it could feel full with even a moderate number of visitors.
🛡️Safety Features
- •Described as 'nice and lit at night!', enhancing visibility and perceived safety after dark.
- •Reviewers noted 'no homeless or shady people around', contributing to a feeling of safety.
- •The playground is 'next to water but rocks blocking entry', providing a natural barrier for children from the waterfront.
⏰When to Avoid
- • If you are seeking a large, expansive playground with extensive and challenging equipment.
- • Hot, sunny midday hours if sun exposure is a concern, due to the complete lack of shade.
- • If you have older children or teens who require more dynamic or thrilling play structures, as they might quickly get bored.

2 years agoThis park is small in size but has a decent amount of stuff for kids to play on. My favorite part: no sand 🎉 As an added bonus there's a great view of downtown.
