a month agoIt is located behind a school soThe trails are not open when school his in session. There's about three miles of trails divided by three trails. You have to go down and back. The trails do not connect. We saw ducks, turkey, fish and a deer. It was a nice way to spend an hour! Free to the public no ticket needed.

3 months agoThis trail is a hidden gem in the city! We saw alligators right where we parked our car. Please be aware if you’re using the trailhead by the elementary school it is closed during school hours. Fortunately, we arrived during Christmas vacation, and we loved it!

4 months agoGreat trail where you can get to experience a lot of the Florida wildlife including alligators, snakes and a variety of local birds. We accessed the trail next to the school but this access point is closed during school hours. There are possibly other entrances in and around the trail. Will definitely be back again soon for another explore 🐊🐍

8 months agoThe Shingle Creek Trail begins right here. The wonderful bicycle path can also be used as a walkway. No motorized vehicles are allowed and the entire length is well maintained. We enjoyed miles of peaceful walking with beautiful natural swamp scenes, bridges and seating areas.
