a month agoHad an good time! Took my girlfriend on a date here. We fed giraffes, watched big cats play, and enjoyed the butterfly exhibit. The lines for the rides were still over an hour. Just like I remember as a kid. I bought the Flash Pass premium package so we could just go straight in the flash pass line.. still a 30 min wait for some of the bigger rides.. but over all I enjoyed the day and prices were not outrageous.

2 weeks agoWe recently picked up season passes and our visits have been enjoyable. Still waiting for the water rides to turn on for summer but most of the other rides were fully operational and running great. Awesome seeing all the animals and enjoying everything the park has to offer.

3 weeks agoI have pretty mixed thoughts about Discovery Kingdom. I think the back of the park where all the animal exhibits are is very nice with lots of trees and a beautiful view of the lake. The exhibits themselves are good! Nothing mind blowing but it is nice to see. Then you get to the front of the park, where all the major coasters are and it is just ugly, especially the DC universe area. The ugliness is accentuated by the blacktop pathways which do go all over the park, but it is most noticeable here. It has zero landscaping with little theming. The operations at this park are very bad too. They run 1 train on everything, and it takes 5 minutes to dispatch a train! Do something about it six flags! If you are going on a busy day, I very highly recommend flash pass. There is no way you will be able to ride everything in one busy day here. The park's coaster collection is pretty good though! My favorite coaster by far is Joker. Also Medusa, Superman, and Batman are good supporting coasters, just avoid Kong. I like this park for the coasters and the zoo in the back. I do recommend a visit here, it can be a verry fun park! Just go into it knowing these things.

a week agoDecent park, some rides not working and long waits unless you get the fast pass or come early. By the way, food is insanely overpriced, a slice of pizza costing $18 with 2 garlic knots.

2 months agoThe biggest and main roller coasters were closed, huge disappointment. Loading took forever, half of their animals were gone, and mostly all staff except for one guy, were not helpful, or didn't know common questions (not confusing or detailed ones) However, the thrill of the park rides were quite fun, and the kid section was up and running and very large. Would recommend for kids, not teens. Also, the very few animal attractions were the most fun we had at the park.
