UPDATE: I RECEIVED MY REFUND, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 30TH...... I WAS LIED TOO. I WAS TOLD ON SEPTEMBER 12 THAT I WOULD GET IT. IT WAS WELL OVER A MONTH UNTIL I GOT IT. FOR THOSE CONSIDERING PLAYING SOFTBALL IN THE SPRING, SUMMER, FALL 2025, ETC., I HIGHLY CONSIDER RETHINKING JOINING SPORTS MONSTER. IF REBECCA IS RESPECTFULLY FIRED, THEN I'M IN 100%. SHE'S NOT GONNA CHANGE. I'VE KNOWN HER SINCE JULY AND THIS IS OCTOBER. HASN'T CHANGED AND NEVER WILL. I love playing softball. Great teammates, making new friends, enjoying the love of the game, etc. The only thing is REBECCA is an absolute joke. She is not cognitively fit to be the "commissioner". Has no personality, not enthusiastic. She is HORRIBLE. I hope she gets kicked out as "commisioner" and gets fired. She definitely needs humbled. I feel like she's no good for sports monster, players, etc. Here's a prime example of how she is completely incompetent: I'm waiting for a refund for something, she said I'd get it, and I never did. Emailed her and no response. I love my teammates and playing softball. Sports Monster would be so much better if Rebecca was completely nonexistent, like in another country. If I could, I would give zero stars because of REBECCA. I have been waiting on my refund since Thursday, September 12... TODAY IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18TH. REBECCA, RESPECTFULLY, GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER. I'M TIRED OF WAITING. Please give me my refund. You are 100% UNPROFESSIONAL. YOU LIED TO ME AND I HATE THAT. Your such a hypocrite, you can umpire 3 or 4 games in one night and/or play on your team/sub on another, but you can't take 5 minutes out of your time to give me my refund. Totally ridiculous..... I hate talking about someone, but it is what it is. I am respectfully trying to expose Rebecca as much as I can. Please, please, please give my refund. No communication from Rebecca and the same from headquarters in Columbus. I am fed up..... tried calling headquarters, email headquarters, emailed sports monster pittsburgh, emailed Rebecca directly, nothing. Sports Monster Columbus main phone number is 614 - 443 - 0190. It is impossible to get through to them. It rings and rings and rings and rings and rings. This is a COMPLETE JOKE.

Played in the summer league, every team we played against was great. Kind, courteous, and were ultimately there to have fun. No complaints at all. However, the games were ruined by Rebecca, who is the "commissioner" and apparently the only "ref" (which isn't surprising, if she's as miserable to work with as she is when she refs, I don't think anyone would want to work with her. The league ALWAYS has a banner on their site asking for referees and umpires, and it's clear to see why. Rebecca is rude, miserable, confrontational, uninterested, and all around just a low person. Each game I talked with the other team and all 5 of them had the same things to say about her, one player has played in multiple leagues that she "refereed" and said she's miserable to everyone. She yells at players for joking with each other, speaks to everyone including spectators in a condescending manner, and takes every opportunity she can to make the game about herself. It's hard to have fun in a RECREATIONAL league when the individual in charge is one of the coldest, meanest, lowest forms of people. Until they replace Rebecca, take your money elsewhere, like PSL, while they themselves aren't great, at least they aren't so miserable of an organization that NO ONE wants to work for them.

I know they have a lot of bad reviews but being my first time here I think the league is great! I wish they gave us more time to play is my only gripe! I joined the fall competitive bball league. Yeah the refs sometimes miss call and even though I may disagree, they still put for a great effort every game. Rebecca had been fantastic at communicating with me. The gym is so reminiscent of playing varsity basketball. Would and will highly recommend this organization to fellow Peers. Hopeful they do year round leagues as I would gladly sign up.

I always felt like we were playing against the refs. They pick a favorite to win the game it seems and nobody really gets any calls. I’ve played in multiple leagues for sports monster basketball and not once have we ever experienced new referees. After complaining multiple times hoping there would be made a difference, still nothing. They get their $25 a game either way. There’s no way we blow out every team in the league by 40 points and once we get to the playoffs they don’t make good calls for anyone. It had costed us multiple league titles. Anyone who runs sportsmonster usually doesn’t even know the rules of the game or what the regulations are. When there isn’t a ref, it’s a safety hazard and we’re practically playing football with no calls. Poor experience every single time and it’s not worth your money. Stop finding these people.

Unfortunately has gone down hill since 2016 when it was out in southpointe and ran by someone else. Now it seems to be a bit of a joke. Rebecca has an attitude problem isn't friendly. I never leave reviews. So being here is new and should really be taken into account. If I could give 0 stars I would. I had high hopes because like I said in 2016, it was such an awesome time. 2023 is completely a joke. So the game ball they make you use is over inflated and not good. Other leagues let the two teams playing pick the game ball. More fun playing pick up honestly. Also side note, this is coming from someone that was on a good team in the league and did well... I know many other teams players also agreed that this was ran poorly and that Rebecca has an attitude problem and teams all make fun of her in the stands prior to games as well as family member and friends who come to games. Overall very laughable and could be ran way better. Rebecca doesn't seem like she wants to be there. I could go on, but it's not worth my time.
