I’ll always support any sporting goods or firearms store, and I truly want to see Sportsman’s thrive—not go the way of the Henderson location. I still shop at the Centennial store for all my range and reloading supplies because I know what I need and go straight to checkout. But last week, I stopped in to look at some high-end sunglasses in the display case and waited nearly 30 minutes for help which didn't come An employee at the register, maybe 50 feet away, made eye contact with me and still, no one ever came over. Do I really have to ask for help when I’m standing there ready to spend $100+ on a pair of sunglasses? I’m retired public safety, and I’ve always worn quality shades—it’s time I get back to that. And while I’ve never had a negative encounter with any employee at this location (they’re always nice and helpful), this was just a big miss. I do support local businesses first—we own two in the valley, one of them pretty large—but that support depends on the service and experience. This might be an overlook, but I WILL STILL shop at and support our local firearms retailers including Sportsman's and for range supplies, semi-impervious targets, realistic targets and other setup's, they rock! I've been looking at their folding range table and I'm going to go get it! :-)

Worst gun counter I've ever visited. Came in ready to buy another firearm for my collection. A good portion of their inventory is on the back wall where you can hardly even see it while you're waiting your turn. Then an employee stands right where I am looking, of course. Once I was assisted, the employee wrongly assumed I was buying my first and was trying to sell me a 9 mm when I came in looking for a little plinker for the range. I wanted to look at one more before making a final decision and the employee just leaves. Thank you for letting me see one firearm I guess. Total waste of time stopping by. Edited to add: you don't have to be concerned about me having a better experience in the future as I won't be back. Bass Pro is much better.

I love you sportsman’s, but I was really annoyed to spend an hour picking up my online order of an AR15 lower receiver. I get that paperwork is involved, but you guys got to get the process down. It shouldn’t take this long. Please, go back to the take a number call a number system in the firearms department, because it’s really disorganized and annoying to have to invest this much time for an item that is already bought and paid for. I recently just picked up a firearm at a gun store and spent literally 10 minutes to complete the same process. I also forgot to mention, I asked for a couple boxes of ammo, which the website stated should be in stock and available for pickup, but the guy couldn’t find them for and told me, “he would need to dig through his shipment in the back.” Again, let’s get it together, and get organized over here, thank you.

If you are looking to purchase a firearm, don’t waste your time waiting around here for the one guy they have working the counter to help you or even day hello. Third time in two weeks I’ve been by here and it’s the same every time. Multiple customers waiting around. I guess the store manager could care less. I’m done with this place. Won’t even be back for anything else either.

Terrible Experience – Order Pickup Nightmare I ordered a Valentine’s Day gift for my husband and used my father’s debit card to keep it a surprise. When I went to pick it up, the order was under my father’s name. Despite showing my email confirmation and order number—and even offering to show a picture of my father’s ID—they refused to let me pick it up, insisting my father had to be there (even though he doesn’t live here). When I explained that, the manager responded, “That’s even worse—you’re using a debit card from someone who isn’t here.” My father was fully aware of the purchase, but I shouldn’t have had to justify it. To make things worse, they wouldn’t cancel the order in-store, telling me I had to call instead. When I called, the line was closed and I was told to call back the next day. Such a waste of time! This entire process was frustrating, unnecessary, and completely ruined the surprise I had planned. I won’t be shopping here again.
