3 weeks agoBeautiful park with lots of walking paths, learning center, historical ruins, lake, pavilions for get together, fishing, and clean restrooms. Such a nice place to take a walk on a Saturday afternoon. Hikes are easy, paths are clear and wide, with elevation gradients being easy to moderate. If you’re looking for a place for you and your dog to enjoy this is the place as well, very dog friendly. Parking can get somewhat sparse on weekends at the Discovery Center. The hiking paths (red trail to the ruins) can also get a tad busy. Suggestion…take the white trail (loop) from the discover center, and come up river past the ruins in your trip back to center. It’s an easy beautiful hike, filled with great spring smells and sounds right now.

a month agoThis is so amazing. Scenery calm, adventurous, peaceful, playful, and meet some of the best people on trails. Gift shop and small museum like vibe is cute. They also have a side for fishing just before the trail park. The parking fee is worth it $5. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Run, hike or walk but it's a good time.

a month agoSweetwater Creek State Park is a beautiful place with stunning nature. There are many scenic trails for walking and hiking, surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful views. The park is perfect for those who love the outdoors and want to escape the city for a while. In the summer, you can also swim in the river, which makes the experience even better. It’s a great spot for relaxation, photography, and enjoying nature at its best. Highly recommended!

a week agoBeautiful! Dog friendly. There aren’t many signs to point you in the right direction for trails. Look for colored diamonds to identify the trail.

a month agoThis is a great park. However, considering the cost JUST to visit and walk on the trails of a public park, the price is a bit steep. It does cover quite a bit land, boat ramps, camping areas, but noting like Deer Lick park offers For Free.... The park is very well maintained and generally pretty quiet. A great place for a long private walk and any number of available trails.
