6 years agoFriendly staff person, convenient location with lots of free parking. I had to get a new soccer jersey for my daughter because the number partially melted during a laundry dry cycle (my appliance's error). Super easy to get a new one, they didn't hesitate to help me out and let me come get a new one; didn't have to exchange the old one (because it wasn't very usable anyway). I even got to pick a better-fitting size for my daughter. And I had to pick up game socks for my son, because he didn't get from the coach due to supplies running out. SYSA is a good program. Rec. level is good value.

3 years agoWe have been involved in various sports with SYSA for years and have never had a problem arise, however, our experience with soccer this fall was incredibly negative. Concerns were brought to the attention of SYSA and dismissed. Our young child was targeted, bullied, and actively excluded by his coach. I understand that it can be hard to find coaches and everyone is doing their best, but this just wasn’t ok. The behavior of the coach went unchecked by SYSA and was truly bizarre and damaging. There needs to be something in place to protect children when events like these occur. Most kids may just learn poor sportsmanship from coaches such as this, but I worry that other children may experience similar treatment in the future if bullying behavior by adults in positions of authority is permitted.

8 years agoI enrolled my son is both soccer and baseball. I have gotten email after email that they are low on coaches for baseball and need voulenteers badly. Well finally after getting a email that my son doesn't have a coach my boyfriend applied for it. It's been 13 days and still nothing. I've had to contact them. They let him go to the coaches meeting and get the gear but not the roster , well they have a game in a week and I still haven't heard anything from them. Once again I had to be the one to reach out to them since the only thing I've received from them was they needed coaches bad, they told me someone would call and be in touch , still haven't heard anything. I will not be signing up for sports through this program again. Also if I were to get a refund that would not help since I've already bought his gear and can't return any of that! Very unprofessional and very unorganized . These are kids that know nothing about sports and they get one practice before a game ? Makes no sense to me, . I've gotten a schedule for soccer so they seem a little more together , but as for the baseball, never again!
