3 months agoReally cool place not too far from a couple of larger cities. Very very clean and great customer service. Easy parking and easy entry this place was set up for ease of access and totally simple for the kids. There is a cafe that served us a decent lunch. The shows put on here and the whole place in general is awe inspiring for kids and adults alike. Real moon rocks, real minerals and real deal telescopes. Thank you to anyone and everyone that is involved with this organization.

2 months agoFor years, we had been wanting to visit the Tellus Museum, and we finally made it happen. It did not disappoint! From the fascinating dinosaur exhibit to the planetarium, the fossils, rocks and mineral displays to the hurricane simulator, we had an amazing time! There's also a collection of vintage cars and motorcycles, as well as a replica of the Wright Brothers flying machine. There's an area where you can pan for gems and dig for fossils. Plus, there's a play area for young children. Overall, we had a fun experience!

5 months agoTook my 4 year old. The facility is gorgeous and well kept. Every single employee (a lot of them are volunteers, I believe) was very kind. However, I would suggest waiting until your child is at LEAST 4, but I think 5 or 6 would be more appropriate. My son was only interested in half of the museum (the interactive aspects) Great atmosphere and I would definitely recommend going.

3 months agoFirst time visiting the Tellus Science Museum. The weather on the day we visited was not the greatest, but Tellus stood out and was exciting to drive up to. There is plenty to learn and the various experiences offered are worthwhile! We visited the constellation show and learned a lot about Orion the Hunter and his dagger. We also took the time to try some of the dry ice cream from the souvenir shop. My favorite part of the displays were the crystals, the vehicles, the fossils and finally the hurricane simulator! This place is also super kid friendly as they have a dedicated area for kids to learn and frankly, 5 of us college students also had a lot of fun there! Learning is always fun and Tellus remains an exciting example of this!

5 months agoOutstanding displays for all ages. Planetarium and a theater have daily shows available. There’s a deli that has a large selection of food and snacks. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great experience and will be back. There is so much to see and learn here.
