Nice place to see local art. Exhibits that let you travel in time. As other city museums, they gather things from more than a century ago and recreated scenes of houses from that time. Art gallery was amazing, with local and young artist, we really enjoyed that. Nice personnel. The are for kids looks really fun, my kids are teens so not for them

I just recently found out about this place after living in South Jordan for years, and it’s such a fun place to spend an hour or two with your kiddos! It’s so nice that it’s free, and it’s got a bunch of hands on play areas for kids. The staff members were all so sweet and helpful! There isn’t much for older kids to do, but for kids 10 and under I would say it’s a pretty fun place, and there are some neat displays for adults to look through as well. It was fun seeing some furniture pieces in the “grandma’s house” display area that I have seen in my own grandparents’ homes. They had a quick little scavenger hunt with a little prize when completed, and had free craft kits you could take home. All in all a really fun worthwhile place to stop into once in a while!

This place is a blast! There is an art hall, and some old fashion rooms. They are very kind friendly with this whole olden times grocery store and a home with stuffed animals and baby dolls along with a kitchen. There is an old school and if you ask a worker you could ring the bell! There is also a mine with this huge train thing that my 3 year old cousin loved 😍 you can also do a scavenger hunt and earn a sticker after words. It looks like there is an outside part to but it was closed when I visited because of the weather. I recommend!!!

Five stars simply aren't enough to capture the incredible experience we had at the Gale Center of History and Culture! From the moment we walked through the doors, it was evident that this wasn't your average museum visit – it was a journey through time filled with excitement and discovery. What truly sets the Gale Center apart is its dedication to providing hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences. As a family, we were able to immerse ourselves in history like never before, engaging with exhibits in a way that made learning both fun and memorable. Whether it was exploring themed areas or participating in educational games, there was never a dull moment. The attention to detail in each exhibit was remarkable, with every area thoughtfully themed to transport visitors to a different time and place. It was clear that a lot of thought and care went into crafting these immersive environments, and it truly paid off in the way it brought history to life before our eyes. The staff were very friendly and fun, welcoming us in and showing all the exciting things to do! One of the experiences was an old general store where the kids could pick out fake groceries and play pretend shopping. This was one of the highlights of our visit and a creative touch that added to the overall charm of the center.

This was an unexpected treasure. It has some really fun local history, but they add to it by having fun activities for kids. My kids didn't want to leave. It may not be as fun for teenagers, but most kids would really enjoy this museum. This museum would work with a wheelchair, as well as most of the activities can be done in a wheelchair. There is a bathroom on site and a drinking fountain. It is an added benefit of being mostly indoors, so it could be a great place to visit in the winter months. Make sure Not to come on Monday. They are closed on that day.
