3 months agoWow! What a nice place! They hosted us in their fenced in party picnic area for a birthday on a Saturday at the 1pm slot. The party table, cake and present table, chalkboard sign, plates, napkins, silverware, a lighter for candles, and a happy birthday sigh over the table were all set up and ready for us when we arrived 15-20 min before 1. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had several late comers and they pushed the time a little bit to help out with that. One of the owners, Drew, did our animal show and it was a hit. It was very thorough, kids friendly, and informational, he did not rush, and allowed children time to ask questions. From there everyone got to go with animal food to walk through the zoo and also the aviary. It is quaint and perfect for kids who like animals and being outside. The adults really seemed to enjoy themselves also. We took our time even though I was very concerned about the time since 3pm seemed to be fastly approaching. We have been rushed out of other parties in the past that were not hosted by the learning zoo. They did not seem worried about us getting out on time and were laid back. We moved back to our area for food and cake which surprisingly we finished by 3 and they gave us plenty of time to pack up and even had time to open a few presents with friends before we had to go, no rushing or pressuring us to get out of there. They only do 2 time slots for parties on Saturday so their focus isn't to pump as many people in and out as they can but more about the quality of the parties they do host. We will be back for a week day visit very soon!

4 months agoGreat experience for kids. It is a lot of fun to be able to feed the animals. You are given a lot of freedom to explore the animals and their homes. I would say that when it gets crowded it is a bit unruly, everyone shoving food at the animals and crowding their enclosures. Particularly evident when you are there and there is a birthday party also. Overall, fun experience and I would happily return.

6 months agoA fun little home zoo. Jeff really cares about his animals and if full of great information. We were early and he allowed us to enjoy their outdoor party space. It was shaded and beautiful and has a fan that brings the temperature down to not bad at all. Our kids loved feeding the birds the most. As a heads up there isn’t much shade during the tour so bring your hats.

4 months agoWe attended the homeschool leaping lizards event. It was a wonderful experience, from the educational keeper talks, the kids scavenger hunt, art crafting station, and the ability to buy a little box of food to feed the animals made it so much fun!

a month agoAdults and toddler all had a great time! Loved feeding the animals and learning about them. We will definitely go back. (Baby goat on top of pig was too funny)
