Lovely winter day filled with 2 hours of art. There was a 50% off holiday themed items in the museum gift shop. There was also jewelry for sale that went along with the jewelry exhibit, very cool. The photography exhibit was inspired. The nicest surprise was all the pieces from Peru, such a beautiful collection.

As a Charlotte native I’ve been to this museum countless times as a child on field trips, but it definitely hits different as an adult when you can actually appreciate the art in front of you. I had the pleasure to attend a special ticketed event showcasing NC wines and chefs. It was truly an amazing experience and so much fun. Each winery had a special dish paired with their wines and everything married so well. And while sipping, got to walk around the museum exploring the exhibits. Whether you go just for a regular visit or for a special event, I think anyone will enjoy this beautiful museum.

I had such an enjoyable time at this museum! My favorite part was the gigantic painting of Queen Charlotte and George III. They are spectacular! I also really loved a black lace runway dress on exhibit. Would love to see an entire gallery of just historic fashion (hint)! My other favorite was a painting of Jesus and the Good Samaritan. Your ticket is actually good for both Mint museums there is another downtown) so if I would have had time, I would have gone there too! Good value! There are nooks and crannies everywhere, so explore it all! #themintmuseum

The museum and grounds are a real treasure – these are both a “must visit”. The setting of the museum in the grounds is beautiful and provides both indoor (art, artifacts) and outdoor (walks/paths) delights. This combination is a real winner for families and groups with varied interests. We (8 year and myself) spent a few hours sketching inside the museum (only pencils and paper allowed inside the exhibitions). The folks at the museum were friendly and really added to our adventure with pieces of information and encouragement. Apart from the permanent collection, which is great, we enjoyed the two exhibitions, Shinichi Sawada: Agents of Clay and Objects of Affection - Jewelry by Robert Ebendorf. This will be a permanent “go to” place when in Charlotte

Our visit was 17 February 2024 after my Hot Chocolate 5K Run. Although sunny outside it was breezy and cold. We went to these two museums, which was very nice. One price and you get to go to both. The one in Uptown had more modern/unique works, with 5 floors, elevators & escalators, restaurant & store attached. The Randolph building is about 4 miles away with a big, beautiful walking area/park to relax in, probably more beautiful in the summer with the water fountain. The Randolph has more of the old antique works, with stairs & elevator, and only three floors. Staff in both locations was helpful, polite, and pleasant. We spent the day in both these two buildings before going to dinner. We were glad for the visit. We would recommend and would bring others back.
