💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →Purchase general admission tickets online to receive a VIP card, which grants year-long access to related venues.
- →Consider purchasing VIP tickets to potentially avoid long lines, especially during peak season, although general admission lines may not always be excessive (e.g., opening night).
- →Be prepared for an extremely high scare factor; if you or your children are easily frightened, this might be too intense and you may need to leave early.
- →Take advantage of photo opportunities with characters and statues in the general admission line while waiting.
- →Staff are highly responsive if someone in your group gets too scared and needs to exit.
Things to Consider
- ⚠The scare factor is explicitly high and intense, causing some guests (even adults) to leave early due to extreme fear, making it unsuitable for easily frightened individuals.
- ⚠Wait times can be long during peak times (e.g., Friday before Halloween).

The experience is described as 'well worth the cost of admission'. Purchasing general admission online provides a VIP card, enhancing value by offering up to a year's worth of access to related venues. VIP tickets are available as an option to avoid potentially long lines.

⏰When to Avoid
- • Young children, children under 13-16, or anyone who dislikes jump scares, intense frights, or macabre themes.
- • Individuals who are easily frightened or prone to panic in scary situations, as the experience is designed to be genuinely terrifying.

a week agoAttended the Tales of the Macabre event here and it was a fantastic experience. The drinks were delicious (and strong), actors and staff were lovely, and the ambience/staging was impeccable throughout the corridors and post lounge area. Highly recommend!

5 months agoTHE GREATEST OF THE GREAT for the Halloween season. The actors took their time to vividly characterize the theme of this 'haunted' mansion. Every turn is filled with the intended fright, that is, as soon as you think you'd be able to recover, here comes another 'un-alive' and/or craftily designed prop. It's well worth the cost of admission, even better when you choose to purchase the general admit online option. In that case, you receive a VIP card which gives you access to up to a year's worth of related venues. In the general admission waiting line, you can take pictures of and with La Señora Muerte and other statues as well as 'un-alive' costumed characters. And be sure to check out the merch when you come out. We were, ironically being also the 2024 presidential election year, a 'I VOTED' sticker by one of the resident ghouls.

6 months agoHad a great time! Friday before Halloween, good crowd and wait was long but crazy to say enjoyable! First thing scare factor…high! We’re not through first room and two of the group were sooo scared they had to leave! The fear in their eyes was palpable! Now the staff!! Wonderful professionals! While waiting line, some needed to use the lieu and the happily escorted them there and back! We had incident where someone lost a phone in an inhospitable place! Lance and Chad went well beyond helping us and retrieve the phone. They then took extreme measures and succeeded in making a memorable night! And when the girls were scared expeditiously got them out of the house. Kudos to the entire staff for their help! Thank you!

a year agoWe visited NOLA from out of state and we knew a haunted house was on our list of places to see. This place was suggested to us by a local and it did not disappoint. We know how much work goes into making a haunt and the creators did an outstanding job. The rooms were well laid out , the props were outstanding, the jump scares are endless and well thought out, and the actors do an amazing job. . It took us about 20-25 minutes to walk through. We were in a group six which was great. I hate when we are lumped with larger groups. We did buy the VIP tickets in order to avoid long lines but it didn’t look like GA line was all that long (it was opening night). Overall 10/10. You scared us at every turn ! Very well done. I should also note that we live in an area that consistently has a haunted house ranked in the top ten in the country and honestly , aside from this one being 20 mins long vs one hour for that one , on a creative level/scare level , the Mortuary is about even. Kudos to the creators and actors, you should be proud !
