2 weeks agoGuys, this is absolutely not a kids museum. There are no pictures listed that accurately represent how this place actually looks - It’s supposed to be a kind of cool, modern and fun experience, but it’s done in a really really creepy way. Like a scary and creepy carnival. If this was some kind of trippy Halloween experience for adults I can get behind it. But the fact that NONE of what’s there now is anywhere to be found here, and that they can call this content for children, is unacceptable. TL;DR; not a kids museum at all, stay away.

a month agoWOW! With 3 kids and 9 grandkids, we’ve been to a few children’s museums, and this one is tops with 3 floors of endless places to explore. Kids over 1yr cost $20, adults cost $20-$25. It’s mostly a climbing/crawling/sliding/finding/exploring type of place with a great variety of rooms & areas. Terrific/friendly staff. Give yourself at least 3 hours. The cafe is reasonably priced with mostly kids food. Parking is limited, so expect to pay for downtown street/meter parking. We learned that handicapped tagged vehicles can park almost anywhere for free.

a month agoAnytime we go to San Diego we love to see the new kids museum. My kids love to come here the oldest being 10 and the youngest being three. It's a good for all ages even I enjoy myself. I like that they offer healthy food options but it is a little expensive for the amount you get but that's okay. If you show an EBT card you can get in for free I think 4 people with one card so that's a blessing. We will be back next time we visit San Diego!

a week agoWhat a unique and wonderful place for kids to play! My kids had a blast in the crochet ball, fort, clay room, giant slide, and giant building area. The restaurant however seemed very understaffed, took about 40 minutes for food, on a weekday. I saw others bring food in, that would be a better option! Overall would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

a month agoThe New Children’s Museum in San Diego is a fun and creative space for kids, offering interactive exhibits and hands-on activities that encourage imagination and play. My children had a great time exploring and engaging with the various installations. However, considering the admission price, the museum felt quite small, and we expected a bit more in terms of exhibits and overall experience. While it’s a wonderful place for young kids to enjoy, it could have been even better with more interactive areas. Overall, it was enjoyable but didn’t fully meet our expectations.
