a week agoAbsolutely fantastic gem of a day in an already great holiday. We had over 2 hours kayaking with our two children and the AMAZING Josh as our guide. He had time for every question and was so enthusiastic and engaging. I really recommend that anyone coming to this area check them out. The price for a family of four was so reasonable for the time we had and the memories that we will keep. The tour option was the best for us and I would say that this is such a great, gentle introduction to kayaking that it is suitable for all ages and abilities. If we come to Florida again we would absolutely look to do this again as I imagine every day would bring new things to see.

a month agoAmazing 2 hour trip. Out guide Ryan was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and attentive to the group. He explained the various plants, trees, and wild life. We saw many birds, snakes and even an gator 'Jorge' soaking up some sun. The path was easy with lots of shade and NO mosquitos. Ryan and the crew there were great. Definitely would come back and highly recommend the tour.

a month agoWonderful and friendly staff, easy kayak rentals. What a great get away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando to experience nature from a kayak! Thoroughly enjoyed my 2 hr paddle downstream and back. Saw lots of wildlife - cranes, turtles, osprey, eagle - but the twists and turns with the sort of speedy current at the end were the best fun :)

a month agoAn abundance of native wildlife including endangered and protected species make their homes within the Shingle Creek Regional Park. Early settlers harvested Cypress trees for use as building "shingles" thus giving name to the Headwaters of the Everglades "Shingle Creek". At the turn of the century, bridges were constructed over Shingle Creek to accommodate residents and businesses. Transporting citrus and cattle was critical for commerce. Today, new bridges are used by hikers and bicyclists, however, remnants of the old bridge abutments can still be seen along the creek.

a month agoAmazing!! We saw 3 gators, a turtle, and birds. But the gators?!?! So close it was crazy! We did 2 hours - our first time without a guide and it was great. Had time to go North come back and go South for 20 min then turn around. We can’t wait to go again!
