2 weeks agoThere is a lot I like about the place but have to give a 1 star as I feel they haven’t done a proper cleaning job after the fire. They told me they replaced the air filter several times which apparently was black with soot but the place smelled fine so I signed up but the last time I was in in smelled of smoke and I got a headache after spending an hour in a class. I saw that the staff (without masks or ppe) were using a scrub brush to clean the climbing walls while members were there. I could visibly see dust flying into the air which under normal circumstances would just be chalk but there was a strong smell of smoke coming that area. I could also see soot on top of the climbing walls. I wish there was some transparency on what was cleaned in the gym but I’m nervous to go back until is properly cleaned and no risk of exposure to toxic ash which also makes me wonder what might have leached into all the plastic gear. Have you had a fire hygienist come do an assessment to ensure it’s safe for members? The fire came really close to the gym. I really want to keep going, I hope they can remedy this quickly.

3 months agoI have been climbing at the post for a couple of years. It is a fun place with a nice sense of community and friendly staff. I recently took the Lead Climbing Class. It was taught by Alfonso. He did a great job explaining how to lead climb and how to be safe while lead climbing. He had the perfect mix of knowledge, personality and ability to explain the how and why of safety procedures. I was able to pass the certification test after taking the class and am now enjoying lead climbing both indoors and outdoors.

a year agoWell equipped climbing gym with friendly staff. Day pass is pretty pricey but a membership is much better value. Dedicated parking lot. Areas for top rope/belay as well as bouldering. They seem to change problems pretty frequently and have a good community. Gets pretty crowded at peak times.

4 months agoI’ve been a climber since April of this year, as being at The Post is always a friendly and welcoming gym. The staff are completely respectful and kind who greet each and every new or returning member. I always look forward to climb the holds and problems each time, even the new ones are exciting! I highly recommend anyone who has an interest to begin climbing, The Post is for you!

a year agoExcellent gym with great route setting. Plenty bouldering problems to choose from and the toprope/lead walls a great too. Good snacks, good gym workout area, good yoga room, good sauna and showers. So GOOD. Love it here
