a month agoDANIKA was AMAZING 🤩 She literally made our night here!!! I love this place but I would come back just for her, haha! The entire staff was amazing, really! I’ve done a bunch of escape rooms and this by far is one of the best! I will definitely be back to do all of the other rooms! Make this trip to Boston, it’s worth it!!!!!

a week agoOne of THE best escape experiences I’ve ever had. Our host Jenny was outstanding: professional, friendly, inclusive, informative et al from the moment we arrived. She seemed genuinely vested in our experience being a positive one. The game was challenging without being frustrating for a group ages 13 to 48. Super fun design and puzzles. We will be back. Thanks!

2 months agoAmazing experience! Very immersive and the props were done really well. Our group did the Witching Hour which is one of their newest rooms. The guide is very helpful as well!

2 weeks agoWe had an awesome time at the escape room! It was the perfect team outing—fun, challenging, and full of laughs. Huge shoutout to our amazing hostesses, Josie and Tina, who made the experience even better with their energy, helpful hints, and great sense of humor. They really brought our team together and made sure everyone had a blast. Can’t wait to come back!

3 months agoAfter wrapping up the rooms at Red Fox Escapes, their staff recommended that we check out Trapology by the Commons. We have done The Retreat and Submarine. We are excited to return and do some of their more unique room themes like Boobie Trap (18+) and Hotdog Heist. Our game master, Grace, was engaging and clear when explaining the room, and helpful along the way (for instance, without spoiling, we struggled with inputting a code and Grace let us know we had the correct answer but just needed to try again... or that we would be able to lift something that appeared heavy). The rooms were incredibly well designed physically and aesthetically. The puzzles themselves were well thought out and an approximate difficulty level. We loved having to consistently use our entire spaces and clues. It felt more cohesive, instead of linear. This also certainly helped spread out our large group. While most escape rooms will offer to take photos for your group after you're wrapped up, we were able to take photos in the themed escape room itself and they took a photo which was emailed to folks AND printed free of charge which makes for a great souvenir! Now for the details... Price: $40-50 depending on whether you want a public or private room Building/Entrance: entering Trapology is jokingly the first part of the escape room. You have to buzz in and Trapology is on the 2nd floor. You can use the stairs or the elevator. You'll check in on the second floor. Some games are on floors above and can be accessed via stairs or a very small, rectangular elevator. If you're concerned about the accessibility of a specific room, I recommend contacting them in advance before booking. Restrooms: there are restrooms on site on all floors where there are escape rooms. Clean and well maintained Merchandise: they have a handful of souvenirs - t shirt, a really cool keychain/bottle openers, and an enamel pin Waiting Area: they have waiting areas inside if you arrive early or are waiting for a ride pick up. The waiting area has comfy chairs, common tabletop games, and fun decor. I wish I had taken more photos of their set up! Transportation: For the cheapest parking, I recommend finding street parking or parking underneath the Commons. Street parking is easier to find and is free on Sundays. The area is always easily accessible by public transit Bonus: you get a free souvenir if you make it to their leader board, which is adjusted for how big your party is. motivation! Of note... Trapology also does outdoor escape rooms (like an outdoor guided scavenger hunt) and will mail escape rooms in a box!
