4 months agoNice Natural area to walk/run/hike in nature. Parking can be challenging in peak hours solo or with friends, furry friends allowed. Lots of trails, mostly flat with tall trees and birds chirping. Can ride on horseback. There are many bridges connecting trials.

5 months agoEasy to find, right in Lake Oswego, plenty of parking, a visitor center with lots of information, and heated bathrooms. The trails are groomed well, mostly flat, but some that are a good workout. It's a beautiful forest, with many skyscraping trees of many kinds. Today, we saw a couple of woodpeckers, one of whom didn't even flinch as we stopped to take their photo. I highly recommend this as a regular place to get some fresh air!

3 months agoParking in the main lot is limited, and seems exacerbated by the construction. There are trailheads to park at, just check the Tryon website. Trails are well kept, and were in good shape Jan '25. Not too crowded, easy enough for a dog or small children. Some muddy spots. Lots of paths so your trip can be as short or long as you like.

a month agoIt is a big nature preserve with trails, great place for a walk. You can ride bikes and horses here so both may be present. There are a few bridges to observe the creek from.
