They had an arts and craft fair in the artist district of downtown Tucson and the Tucson. Museum of Art offered free admission for the day. It was my first time going there, and it was amazing. A very diverse group of artist from art made from old pages of books to blown glass 9 feet tall of a Native American riding bareback on a horse. It was definitely worth the price of admission. I would definitely return even if I had to pay.

Reciprocal museum membership partner. Wonderful collection of precolumbian art. Lots of Spanish colonial work. Some of the contemporary art is amazing -- some is not, but that's the nature of contemporary art. Check out the attached/adjacent buildings on campus. Highly worth a two hour stop on your trip thru the Tucson area.

So, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a bunch of rich folks in Tucson decided to build their fancy homes along Main Avenue, specifically from Alameda Street to 6th Street. This swanky neighborhood, affectionately known as "Snob Hollow" or "la vecindad cerca del centro," was chock-full of architecturally stunning mansions that managed to survive the urban renewal efforts of the 1960s. As a result, El Presidio Historic District became one of the first Tucson neighborhoods to be listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Today, the area is home to the Tucson Artisan Market.

Love it, it really good spending time with your family where you can take a stroller and the kid and spend some time in the kids room with the books colouring pages? I love the first room with the ancient treasures of Peru .

I visited the Tucson Art Museum last week and was pleasantly surprised. To be honest, in a city as small as Tucson, I wasn’t expecting such a large and impressive museum. Celebrating its 100th anniversary with a comprehensive and meaningful exhibition, I explored the museum with great pleasure. The Tucson Museum of Art has taken its place among my favorite museums with its own collection, the exhibition of the works, the informative writings, and most of all, the architecture. I would like to thank everyone, from the general director of the museum to the volunteer staff, for their efforts. I am grateful that you have created and preserved an artistic space that is more than just a place—it’s a cultural treasure that has been successfully maintained for a century. It is a must-visit if you are in or visiting Tucson.
