3 weeks agoThe place is so beautiful to go to. The main waterfall is so amazing. The rocks and the stream is just incredible. We walked just around the river side and it was just so beautiful the whole way. I'm just in awe of how the scenery looked. I will recommend this place to everyone.

4 months agoI love this place and am very happy it is a protected area, but it has become un-friendly to visitors in many ways. During summer I came out around 4pm and was met by the manager telling me they close at 5:30. I told him I was aware. Then he told me he closes the gate at 5:15. I made it back to my car at 5:14 to find him waiting for me. Another time, I had just got done walking and got in the car and hadn't been in it 2 minutes when a guy told me I couldn't "loiter" in my car! I went one day at 3pm during the winter when they close at 4:30. While I was hiking the woods, which were quiet and peaceful, a loud shout pierced the silence- it was the guy screaming about what time the preserve closes. It was 3:19 at the time. It's like they don't want anyone out there unless it's mid day! They don't even open till 9am, so if you work, just forget it. And if you happen to come during the hour before they are SUPPOSED to close, expect to be informed about what time to leave, because he doesn't want to close at the time listed on the sign.

a week agoTrekking and cycling are popular activities in Turkey Creek Natural Preserve. It also has trails for birdwatching. Nonetheless, the water's distinct rock formations set it apart from other neighboring waterfalls. A complimentary parking area was an added bonus, and visitors are not charged for entry.

2 years agoI've been coming here since I was in high-school and every time I'm in Pinson I have to stop by. It's amazing to see all of the conservation work they've done as there wasn't even a paved road in sight when this was our summer hangout spot before 2010! Hands down one of my favorite places as well as my peaceful place. So beautiful here.
