a week agoThe UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens offer a peaceful retreat with diverse plant collections and scenic walking paths. Highlights include the McMillan Greenhouse, featuring orchids, carnivorous plants, and tropical species, and the Susie Harwood Garden, known for its Japanese maples and Asian-inspired design. The Van Landingham Glen showcases native plants and rhododendrons along shaded trails. Admission is free, and the gardens are open daily during daylight hours. The greenhouse operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. While the greenhouse is wheelchair-accessible, the outdoor gardens have uneven terrain and may be challenging for some visitors. Parking is available nearby, with designated visitor spots and additional options on weekends. Overall, the gardens provide a tranquil environment for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a quiet escape.

a week agoA beautiful garden on the UNC campus. Parking is challenging, but worth finding a paid visitor's lots to enjoy this lovely spot. Lots of winding paths and seasonal beauty. Multiple benches and a few tables and covered areas for a quiet retreat. No admission fee, but donations encouraged. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.4 stars

2 weeks agoBeautiful just beautiful plants and trees.. the landscape..the ponds . The structures are literally picture perfect. Quiet sitting places, the birds and strangely beautiful moths all just so charming!.. I'd love to come here again.... A truly refreshing and beautiful spot. It's F-R-E-E! parking was a hassle to find ..I parked down the street..

a month agoMid march 2025 and the early spring flowers were bursting out everywhere. Wonderful setting, students studying in the garden. Weather was beautiful. A little rough around the edges, but it is early spring. Free except a nominal fee for the parking garage. Only 4-6 designated visitors spots by the greenhouse, and they’ve all been taken each time I’ve visited the garden.

4 months agoWhat a gorgeous garden! Open to the public and it’s very well taken care of. Perfect to relax and disconnect or just lock in and study. We took our families Christmas pictures here and they had such beautiful spots to take pictures like the Asian garden area. Would highly recommend!
