7 months agoCute bouldering gym in Shoreline! There are 2 wooden climbing walls with a variety of climbs, however my daughter (who is a beginner) felt that a lot of the V0-V2 routes were too hard for her - and there were not that many to choose from. Shes short, and quite a few of them required reaching or jumps, which were not something she can do. I think for intermediate to experienced climbers, this gym would work well for indoor bouldering practice. The gym is small. There’s snacks, chalk, gym tee shirts, and a small selection of climbing shoes for sale at the front. There’s also a small weight training area in the back of the gym for members. On the 2nd floor area, there’s a bathroom and an area they teach yoga classes. Uplift Climbing offers both day passes as well as punch card passes or memberships - you can rent shoes for $5 or bring your own. I suggest climbing a few times in a day pass and then deciding. Seems like a small but kind and supportive neighborhood climbing gym!

a week agoTheir routes are challenging and they have a higher reset rate than any other gym I’ve been to- routes are different everytime I visit. It’s a smaller gym but they maximize wall space and provide for climbers of all levels, although this gym is more difficult than others in the area so prepare to be sore the next day.

5 months agoAwesome gym. The high density of climbs and quick turnover in setting makes it so that there is always fresh climbs to try. The training tools (gyms, hangboards, two systems boards) are also extremely useful and easy to get on whenever I’m at the gym.

a year agoI met Andrew and Caroline at exit 38 today. Both nice people and really good climbers! I told them opening a gym takes more guts then climbing does. I hope the climbing community will support their gym as it helps to grow the climbing community. 💪
