Good place for kayaking Many trails to connect with nature Some wildlife There are plenty of mosquitos!!! Bring repellent Trails have interactive media, QR code u scan with your phone and tells you useful info of that area in particular Some restrooms were not properly working, and the hand soap was not working as well as sink.

Nice park to visit over the weekends. Close to Tampa and inexpensive: $2 per car. Shelters with numerous tables are available to picnic with family or on your own. Three trails with different sceneries. Recently, this park suffered a fire, so nature is still recovering and gotta be patient. Kayak and canoe rental (we were not able to use due to high tide when we visited). You can also bring your own! Great views of river and Mobly Bay. Central visitor area with some tanks. Unfortunately, it's a bit scarce on fish, amphibians, and reptiles. Under construction? Overall, it was very clean. Toilets pristine with toilet paper and soap (we are always grateful for those tiny details). We will return!

The park rangers are extremely helpful and polite. You can bring your dog on a 6-foot leash The kayak and canoe launch is as fancy as it gets,, and $2 per car with up to 8 people is dirt cheap. Great wildlife viewing, good introduction into different coastal habitats, very educational for learning about controlled burns, fewer visitors than Weedon. I only wish the trails were longer,

I walked their bobcat, otter, and eagle trails yesterday, each under one mile. Paths were mostly dirt but well maintained. My favorite was the eagle trail, which had a nice boardwalk with mangroves and a fishing spot. There's not a ton of shade, and there are dirt paths to get to the boardwalks. I enjoyed it, but would prefer something with more distance and a little more shade.

Despite being just off the busy Route 580, this park is tucked away in its own little world, with a diverse range of tropical trees, plants and trails. There is also a nice little visitor center, with various exhibits, including tanks showing off some local wildlife. It is a low-key, fly-under-the-radar gem. With the slightly stormy weather, the park was pretty much empty, though beautiful nonetheless. There are three short (0.7, 0.4, and 0.3 mile) trails that show off some of the different landscapes, including a variety trees, plants and the chance to see some wildlife. The park borders up against Mobbly Bay, which ultimately connects up with Old Tampa Bay... almost like a bay within a bay. A boardwalk trail takes you to views of the bay and through the interesting ecosystem that makes up the space between the water and the dry land. Mangroves (or at least trees that seem like mangroves) make up a lot of this transition section. Upper Tampa Bay Park was not originally on the itinerary, but turned into one of the highlights of this trip in Florida. I loved the various trees and plants, and the trails were short but showed off a lot of different terrain. What an unexpected treat! I'd totally go back for a leisurely stroll and to take in the beautiful surroundings.
