5 months agoI enjoy climbing at this gym as it offers a multiple heights of walls and plenty of auto belays, top ropes, and lead climbing routes as well. They have a workout area with cardio equipment and free weights. And they have a squat rack as well. I enjoy the comradery and meeting the people that climb here. The parking lot is not huge and is in a busy/trendy part of town so getting a parking spot can be tough depending on when you visit. I will definitely climb here again.

a week agoI started climbing at VE in 2006 (a few years off here and there while living abroad). Over the years, VE has become much more than just my gym– it has become a second home and, honestly, a refuge. Huge shout out to the managers (Brett & Josh) for creating such a positive and supportive climbing community here in the Twin Cities. Their staff has been consistently supportive, kind, and caring as I pushed my own limits on some new climbing goals and went through some personal highs and lows. I have met some very strong climbers and genuinely good humans at this gym, and I am fortunate to now call some of them dear friends. Good vibes, interesting routes, groovy tunes, and spacious workout space. Yes, the shredded rubber tire flooring is annoying, but it's part of the charm. Also, it's on an awesome street in Minneapolis. Eat Street has amazing pre-climb coffees and post-climb food options, including live music at Ice House next door. This gym is a gem, and the people here are a big reason why I’ve kept coming back for nearly two decades. Cautionary tale to parents: Enroll your kid in a climb club (as did my parents in 2006), and 20 years later they might end up like me—hooked on climbing for life and with an incredible community to show for it, including a life-long best-friend from 2006. Thanks, VE Minneapolis Staff, y'all are awesome!

4 months agoI enjoyed my visits to this facility, which has a number of climbing options including multiple auto belays. The only problem was parking could be difficult to find sometimes.

5 months agoI’m used to high quality gyms coming here from the Wasatch Mountains. The bouldering mats are hard, I don’t feel comfortable doing any bouldering here. I gross rubber pebbles they have as flooring in the Top Rope area is gross. Also I agree with the reviewers that the facility is not clean.

a year agoLocated in Minneapolis, MN, Vertical Endeavors proved to be an exceptional destination for our family outing, especially for our adventurous 3-year-old daughter, Zoē. As Zoē's interest in the local kids' rock walls waned due to the lack of challenge, we sought new avenues to explore her potential talents. Despite initial concerns about Zoē's age and safety, the welcoming and informative assistance from staff members like Josh and Benny immediately put us at ease. The facility's policy of allowing toddlers in for free with a paid adult not only eased our financial concerns but also showcased their understanding of children's apprehensions towards climbing. Benny's meticulous attention to detail, particularly in fitting Zoē's harness and ensuring our comfort with the equipment, was truly commendable and added an extra layer of reassurance. Zoē's excitement was palpable as she confidently tackled the walls, displaying remarkable fearlessness and agility. It was heartwarming to witness her enthusiasm grow with each successful climb, almost reluctant to leave after three hours of uninterrupted fun. Vertical Endeavors' commitment to providing a safe yet exhilarating experience for climbers of all ages left a lasting impression on us. As Zoē eagerly asks to return to Vertical Endeavors even as I write this review the day after our visit, it's clear that we've found a new favorite activity for our family. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff for creating such a welcoming and engaging environment, and we eagerly anticipate our next adventure at Vertical Endeavors.
