Virginia Zoo

For the size of the zoo, I was impressed. It was very clean, the exhibits were well done. I was a little sad that there were no elephants, and the train ride felt short. The play area for the kids could use improvement, such as rope climbers or even add some flare like a splash pad. Overall I was happy and will be visiting again.

It's a nice small zoo. Nothing super complicated, just a zoo. I honestly like the smaller one. Less people there and cheaper food. Even being here on the weekend, it wasn't that busy. I do wish there were a few more animals. It was more aimed at kids, but adults still can enjoy it. But overall, a wonderful time here at the zoo.

Went on my daughter's field trip with her and took my 10 month old too. First time there,and it was great!! Pricing is fair and so much to see. We had a blast. Definitely will be back!!

Nice zoo, friendly employees. Clean habitats for animals. I really liked that the gift shop had locally made items! Bathroom at front of zoo has changing table inside a stall, which was difficult to find.

I love coming to the zoo, so much so that I come here weekly or biweekly with my family and friends! We bought the membership and I'm telling you-- it pays off and it is completely worth it! Not only is the Virginia Zoo full of great animals to see, but also great staff to interact with! My children have learned so much coming to the zoo and they often share their experiences with other children in their schools/daycare. I love the ability to show them something that they might have seen on TV like a meerkat or a giraffe or a bear and not only have them witness it, but also have their amazing staff talk more about them! Thank you so much for having a great times and the amazing ability to share this space in a wholesome way! The staff love the animals and the animals seem happy to be there!
