💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Be aware of the multi-step entry process: park in a dirt lot first (likely for a fee), then walk to pay for admission.
  • If planning activities around Lake Travis (e.g., swimming near the 'beach'), check current lake levels beforehand, as the 'beach' may not exist due to low water.
  • Confirm food specials or menu items at Beachside Billy's before ordering, as advertised specials may be outdated.
  • Note that pools close at 6 PM and Beachside Billy's restaurant closes at 7 PM if planning your visit duration.
  • Consider going on a typically closed day (like Monday) if it's unexpectedly open, as it might be 'a bit crowded but not too bad' with no waits for slides.

Things to Consider

  • The entry process can be confusing: patrons pay to park in a random dirt lot, then walk a distance to the entrance to pay for admission (separate from parking).
  • Upkeep in non-main areas (off to the sides) could be improved, with mentions of 'old yard tools/machinery, chipped concrete, janky sheds'.
  • Water in the pools was described as 'a bit dirty', which may be due to it being recycled from the lake and dirtied by people throughout the day.
  • The 'beach' feature is currently non-existent due to low Lake Travis water levels, limiting lakeside activities.
  • The 'twister slide' was reported to be 'pretty fast but also a bit rough on the back', possibly from seams.
  • Pools close relatively early, specifically noted at 6 PM.
  • Restaurant (Beachside Billy's) experienced issues with outdated menu specials (e.g., pizza slices were not available as advertised) and a potentially newer/less experienced bartender.
  • Admission is $20 per person, with children 2 & under being free, which might be a concern for larger families.

Price & Value

Entry costs $20 per person (free for children 2 & under). Parking is a separate, unspecified cost in a dirt lot. The service can be very accommodating, including comping bills for restaurant mistakes, which adds value. Overall, for the variety of activities and facilities, it offers 'good quality fun' as a getaway.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accessibility accommodations (e.g., wheelchair ramps, sensory hours) were mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • Multiple on-site options available: three different bars offering 'good food and great tasting drinks'.
  • Beachside Billy's restaurant provides full meals (e.g., patty melt, Texan burger, chips with salsa/guac/queso) and kids' options (e.g., quesadilla).
  • Be aware that some advertised food specials at Beachside Billy's might be outdated.

🚗Parking Info

  • Paid parking in a 'random dirt lot' requiring a walk to the entrance. The specific cost is not mentioned.

👥Crowd Levels

  • Described as 'a bit crowded but not too bad' on Memorial Day around 3:30 PM, with 'not really a wait for slides or anything'.

🛡️Safety Features

  • No explicit safety features like lifeguards (though implied for a water park), wristbands, or first aid stations were specifically mentioned in the reviews.

When to Avoid

  • Expecting a traditional 'beach' experience with sand and lakeside access, as Lake Travis levels may render it non-existent.
  • If you have significant back sensitivities, you might want to avoid the 'twister slide' due to reports of it being 'a bit rough on the back'.
  • If you are highly sensitive to water clarity, as the pool water is recycled from the lake and can be 'a bit dirty' by the end of the day.
  • If strict adherence to advertised menu specials is crucial, as some items might be outdated at Beachside Billy's.

We just had our company picnic for Austin Sales & Scaffold here. We all had an awesome time, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They have water rides, 2 pools, an amazing scenery of the lake in the background, and a DJ that was playing music. There were 3 different bars around the park that offered a variety of good food and great tasting drinks. Would highly recommend for a getaway to have some good quality fun.

I debated giving 4 or 5 stars and settled on 5 to improve the overall rating as we would go again and had fun, and there's definite potential! My husband, myself, and 2 and 4 year old daughters went Memorial Day around 3:30 hoping many people wouldn't realize it's open (it's usually not on Mondays). It was our first time and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It was a bit confusing at first as you pay to park in a random dirt lot and then walk a bit to the entrance where you pay $20/person (except 2 & under). The grounds, while mostly up-kept well in the main areas, could use some improvement in some of the non-main areas off to the sides (old yard tools/machinery, chipped concrete, janky sheds, etc). While the water was a bit dirty, I think that's hard to hold against them as it's recycled from the lake and dirtied by people throughout the day. It was a bit crowded but not too bad, there wasn't really a wait for slides or anything, which was great. My kiddos had a fun time! We hung out at the toddler ship-pool for my youngest, then went to the bigger pool (which is still only like 4ft deep max) but had fun obstacle course thing, a small slide, water volleyball, and a waterfall mushroom. Our girls liked hanging there for a bit, then my oldest tried the two easier big water slides and loved them! My husband and I went down the twister slide thing which was pretty fast but also a bit rough on the back- maybe from the seams? Then we ventured down to the "beach" which doesn't exist anymore sadly because Lake Travis is so dang low unfortunately. So not much to do there although I did jump in the water near the marina to swim some while the girls looked for seashells along the shore. My husband ordered some drinks from the bar and said they were fine although he thought the bartender might be newer based on how she was making the drinks. The pool closed at 6 so we made our way to Beachside Billy's (closed at 7) which is a cute restaurant overlooking the park/lake, and next to the sand volleyball pits and corn hole/fire pit section. I ordered the patty melt and my husband ordered the Texan burger, as well as chips with salsa/guac/queso. He liked his and I thought mine was decent. We ordered pizza slices for the kids but apparently that was an old special that didn't exist anymore so we re-ordered a kids quesadilla and the guy comped our bill for the mistake which was very nice. The staff were all very friendly and attentive (mostly younger kiddos it seemed), and the service was good. Overall we had a good time and will return!
