2 weeks agoWow! What a great place! The Historical figures in Hologram were done very well and informative. The display on cuisine was informative as well as the music display. I really like the movie room near the elevator. The video showed seamlessly on the three walls. Sit at the back for the best view. The elevator up and down also contained small videos, on three of the entire elevator walls, while you go up to the top or down. The drink was worth the extra-great Frozen Hurricane. The view outside was spectacular-even on a cloudy day. All the Staff was extremely nice especially when explaining how to use the previously mentioned Tech. Definitely worth the time and money.

a month agoThis place is a must visit. A very fun/interactive thing to do. It was very educational I definitely recommend getting the all inclusive ticket so that you can get the full experience. We had a guided tour and our guide was amazing she was very kind and informative. We learned a ton about new Orleans history and culture. The museum had lots of different materials from the heritage. It is very educational. The visuals are out of this world. We saw a small film and got to ride the elvelvator up to the 33rd floor where there is an observation deck. The inside of the elevator is animated with a short film for your ride. On ce you get off you take picture and you can see oversee the city. Such a betiful view!! Once you’re done exploring you go back on the elevator to go on floor up, where there’s a cafe and they give you a complimentary drink. They have a outside deck where you can oversee the city as well. 10/10 highly recommend.

a month agoGot tickets from Groupon for $20 each to go up which was a good discount. You’ll walk through a very short historical museum at the first floor before getting into an elevator. On your ride up you’ll get to watch a little video inside the elevator. The top is a little underwhelming but the view is still pretty. There’s an indoor viewing deck with historical information and if you go up the gold elevator there’s an outdoor deck with a small cafe. The best part is the outdoor area where you can walk around a 360 circle to see the city from every angle. Beware it can get quite windy. Overall it was a good experience for $20. If there aren’t any events going on it’ll take you less than an hour to really see everything. It seems like “the thing” you have to do in NOLA if you’re visiting so don’t miss it!

2 months agoMy friend and I decided to do this on a whim on our last day because we were tired of walking and honestly thought what we paid for was going to be nothing more than just an elevator trip up to a high floor for a good view; we were so pleasantly surprised! This unassuming museum was our favorite of the trip! I think this would be the best first stop in New Orleans activity for anyone visiting from elsewhere. It gives an interesting and interactive overview and background of a lot of the New Orleans history, food, floods/port, culture, music, etc. We learned more here than we had our whole trip. The bonus for us was most of the exhibits had seating or places to sit nearby, we were on our last day of our trip and so tired of walking so it was nice to have something to do with low energy. As a tech guru, I was very impressed with the high-tech interactive exhibits and features throughout the museum. My only note was the cafe was a bit underwhelming for food/drink selection and I wish there was seating outside on the observation deck (only seating inside). Overall highly recommend!
