a year agoVery nice trail, mostly paved but some with gravel that is easy for walking and is wide enough for biking. It is also stroller and wheelchair accessible. Beautiful views of downtown as well. Walk the length of the trail both ways and you get 4 miles in.

4 years agoVulcan Trail is a beautiful trail for walking or running (other reviews of the actual trailhead by Vulcan statue/museum deal more with the actual trail). This end of the trail is a bit difficult to find if you are new... up the hill off of Greensprings, kind of between a business and apt building properties.I’m including some pics to try and make it easier to find!

4 years agoVulcan trail is a 2 mile walking/ running path half paved and half gravel. Located close to the UAB campus, it's a good place for a quiet walk and reflection amid nature.
