💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →**Check current day pass pricing and rental fees:** Prices varied in reviews ($18-$25 for day pass, $6 for shoes, $5 for chalk rental), so confirm before visiting.
- →**Bring your own chalk bag if possible:** The $5 rental for chalk was considered steep and reviewers had issues getting a usable bag.
- →**Be prepared for varying route clarity:** Most boulder routes may not have clear start/end markings or grades, which could require some improvisation or asking staff.
- →**Consider skill level for beginners:** Beginner climbers, especially adults or older children, might find the selection of very easy (V1-V2) bouldering routes limited.
- →**Supervise children actively:** While kid-friendly, the observation of kids running around as a 'hazard' suggests parents should be vigilant about their children's safety and behavior.
- →**Great for spontaneous outings:** Can be a 'last-minute' fun activity.
Things to Consider
- ⚠One parent reported issues with chalk rental: $5 is considered steep, and they had to request a usable, filled chalk bag four times.
- ⚠Lack of clear start/end markings or grades on most boulder routes can be confusing, especially for beginners.
- ⚠Limited V1-V2 routes, which might be frustrating for beginner climbers (adults or older children/teens).
- ⚠Kids running laps around the gym area was observed as a potential hazard by one reviewer, suggesting supervision might be less stringent outside of structured camps.
Price & Value
Day pass prices varied in reviews from **$18 per person (Review 2) to ~$25 per person (Review 1)**. Shoe rental is **$6**. Harness rental is required if not professional (included in 'great price' comment in Review 5 with day pass and shoes). Chalk bag rental is **$5**, but one reviewer found this 'steep' and experienced issues getting a usable bag. Overall, multiple reviewers describe the price as 'excellent relative to other gyms' and 'a great price for a day pass and harness and shoe rental,' suggesting good value despite the chalk rental issue.
♿Accessibility & Special Needs
- •No specific accessibility accommodations mentioned in the reviews.
🍎Food & Drink Policy
- •No information about food or drink policies mentioned in the reviews.
🚗Parking Info
- •No information about parking mentioned in the reviews.
👥Crowd Levels
- •Can be quiet at times, allowing you 'to have the place to yourself' (Review 5).
- •May have a low adult crowd (one reviewer saw only 5-6 adults in 2 hours) but can have 'kids running... doing laps' (Review 2).
🛡️Safety Features
- •Staff provides 'great explanations' for climbers, implying safety briefings.
- •Harness systems are in place for top-rope climbing (reviewer mentions 'letting the harness catch you').
- •Kids camps are 'staffed by lovely people,' suggesting supervision during organized activities.
- •A potential safety concern noted by a reviewer: 'kids running (fully doing laps) around, which in my mind is a hazard' in the general gym area.
⏰When to Avoid
- • Parents expecting a strictly adult-focused climbing environment, as it tends to be more suitable for children and can have kids running around.
- • Beginner adults or teens who strictly need an abundance of clearly marked V1-V2 bouldering routes.
- • Those who are easily discouraged by challenging routes or an 'ego check' in their climbing progression.

5 months agoReally cool, fun activity you can do last minute. You have to rent shoes and harness if you're not professional. Plus a day pass is about $25 a person.

2 months agoI came to spend a couple hours bouldering with my partner past weekend. $18 pp for a day pass, $6 for shoes, $5 for a bag of chalk to rent (which is really steep and the employee kept giving us an empty bag/ chalk sock with no chalk inside. We had to ask for more chalk 4 times and show an empty inside to finally get a somewhat usable chalk bag). Establishment itself is a small climbing gym with a boulder cave, some auto belays and some top rope systems. It also has a small gym area for warming up with some equipments like hangboards, pull up bars, and boxes. There is also a moonboard in the corner. The vibes suggested that it might be a more suitable gym for children. There were a few kids running (fully doing laps) around, which in my mind is a hazard. I saw maybe 5-6 adults climbing in the span of 2 hours. Boulder courses were interesting. It uses a V scale but most routes don’t have a clear start/end markings or grades. There’s some “natural” elements to the wall like little crevices and jugs so that was fun to utilize. It would be nice to have more routes in v1-2 because my beginner husband didn’t have a whole lot to try.

3 months agoWall Crawler is my home gym. - Its a good place to go to get good at climbing - Its a good place to go if don't want to maintain different grading systems when climbing inside and outdoors, and if you don't mind a bit of an ego check. - Price is excellent relative to other gyms - The people who work there are members of the local community and are awesome. - The kids camps are great and staffed by lovely people. - Its a small independent business in a world of huge, corporate gym chains.

3 years agoWhat a great way to spend time! The bouldering wall is nice and simple but there are challenging sections as well! The rock walls themselves also offer many options - I’m in no way experienced climber but I could do 2 “paths” pretty easily, letting go & letting the harness catch you is the hardest part! :) A great price for a day pass and harness and shoe rental. The staff is nice and will give you great explanations but otherwise let you have the place to yourself which is nice
