in the last weekWell organized beginning to end. No detail left undone. Our guides Joe and Landon were personable, knowledgeable of geology, history and of the river. Meals were amazing! Right down to a birthday cake baked in a Dutch oven. The breathtaking scenery and feel of the canyon is something that will never leave us. Other highlights of the trip were the rapids themselves, jumping off the cliff at Pumpkin Rock and sleeping under the stars at night. The trip of a lifetime! p.s. the helicopter ride was thrilling!

2 weeks agoWOW. WOW. WOW! Words can’t truly capture the magic of my recent trip with Western River Expeditions through the Grand Canyon. From start to finish, it was the adventure of a lifetime. Sure, the first two nights were cold—like, really cold—but that quickly became a distant memory as the weather shifted and the vibrant blue skies opened up. The days were stunning, and the nights? Sleeping under a blanket of stars in one of the most awe-inspiring places on Earth is something I’ll never forget. Our guides, Lutky and Wiley, were absolute pros—calm, confident, and always going the extra mile. Their passion and professionalism made the journey not just safe, but unforgettable. They didn’t just guide us; they took care of us like family. The food? Outstanding. Somehow, each meal topped the last. From hearty dinners to surprise desserts and even ice cream in the middle of the canyon—yes, ice cream!—it’s clear that Western River doesn't miss a single detail. It’s those little touches that set them apart from the rest. Sure, I’m still shaking sand out of my duffel bag, and I won’t soon forget just how chilly those early nights were—but more than anything, I’m walking away with lifelong friendships, incredible photos, and memories that will stay with me forever. If the Grand Canyon is on your bucket list, this is the way to do it. Don’t wait. Just go. Western River Expeditions delivers a once-in-a-lifetime experience you’ll treasure forever.

9 months agoAWESOME trip. 4 days and 3 nights were perfect, left us wanting more. Great experience at the Bar10 Ranch - Great food and fun entertainment. The river guides were fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the river, great cooks, made sure we were safe. My wife needed a gluten free diet and they always had something for her. Would love to go again with my sons.

7 months agoExperiencing the Grand Canyon from a raft, on the river, was truly amazing. There is no better way. Standing on the rim or flying above pales in comparison. We took the 3day, 2 night tour. The tour guides were knowledgeable, fun, expert River/rapids navigators, patient and understanding of us who aren’t very outdoorsy, and hard workers who make camping and exploring fun! The fellow travelers were all friendly and we all felt blessed to share the experience. I recommend Western River Expeditions to everyone, without reservations.

a week agoI went open to the experience with no expectations. I had never rafted before but quickly felt safe because of a skilled and confident captain and Swampers. They worked hard, were extreme in cleanliness, and i won't give the food surprises away but there were many!!. See for yourself! We were not just guests on an expedition but all in it together doing our part and respecting the river..the journey..each other..and the gift we were receiving. A memorable expedition!!!
