Detailed Insights

Westminster Summer Camp offers a highly curated and engaging program that stands out with its diverse off-site excursions and a unique pre-admission interview process for children. • An overnight camp option is available and highly regarded.
  • Exceptional food quality, specifically highlighted as "AMAZING" for the overnight camp.
  • Horseback riding is offered as an activity and noted as "good."
  • Located on a "huge" private school campus, suggesting extensive facilities and space.

Ideal For

Parents seeking a highly structured, enriching summer camp with varied educational and recreational excursions.

Parents looking for a traditional, "throw back idyllic" camp atmosphere.
Families who appreciate a large, potentially diverse campus environment.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Be prepared for your child to undergo an interview as part of the admission process; it is not a direct sign-up camp.
  • Inquire specifically about the overnight camp option if interested, as it's highlighted for food and activities.
  • If horseback riding is a key interest, confirm its availability and scheduling for your chosen camp session.

Things to Consider

  • The pre-screening interview process means this is "not just a sign up and your child is in" program, which might be a barrier for parents seeking immediate or less involved enrollment.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • "AMAZING food" is provided as part of the overnight camp experience. There is no information regarding outside food policies for day campers or specific dietary accommodations.

  • General praise for "Great staff around" at the host institution, but no specific camp safety protocols (e.g., supervision ratios, first aid stations, security measures) are detailed.

When to Avoid

  • Parents looking for a last-minute or immediate sign-up camp without an interview process.

One of the best camps I’ve ever had my son attend. I mean they do tons of things from going to the park, history museums, and so much more. Your child will be interviewed before joining the program. This is not just a sign up and your child is in type of program.

Huge private school, large and immense. Its multicultural. Awesome school. Great staff around. Im working there now, doing some plumbing work. I never probably seen a high school this huge, I first thought it was a college or something. Awesome spot to go for a walk on a weekend.
