Good experience. Glad we decided on 4 hours rather than 1 hour. Plenty of time to explore City Park with my 9 year old. Lots of stops/adventures. She loved the Children’s Museum, Art Museum, mini golf, Cafe De Monde, playground, and fitness equipment area. The pick up and drop off is the same location as the swan paddle boats, canoes, and kayak rentals. She wasn’t old enough for her own kayak so we chose a double. Way more water ways to explore than I realized. Look at the map in advance. Once you go under the bridge, there’s a lot to explore. I don’t think you can do that on the Swan though (might be wrong). Bikes, kayak, and gear were in pretty good shape. They provided helmets and locks. You’ll need the locks if you stop anywhere. Staff service ranged from indifferent to nice. I’d say that was true for everywhere we went in the park. We mostly felt safe though the edges of the park get a little sketchy. The bike locks worked well though getting them on/off was tough for a 9 year old.

FYI if you Uber to the park call ahead, don’t rely on the Facebook page updates. We wanted to do the boats at night because they looked so fun. According to the website they update their Facebook page if they have to close due to winds. So we checked the page. No closures so we Uber over super excited. Only to be let down. The boats weren’t open and they told us we couldn’t even do the bikes because a customer told them they were closing the paths for fireworks. Just a bummer to spend money on an Uber there and back to our hotel and not get to do the boats. Lesson learned! Also just to add one of the ladies there super nice and understanding. She had great customer service. The other lady not so much.

Would not recommend we asked to try the double surrey before we rented it but they refused to let us try. After we rented it we found it to be too difficult to manage peddling with 2 adults and 4 kids. We tried to return it to get 5 individual bikes and pay the difference which would have netted them an additional $50 but they refused saying the $44 for the double surrey was no refunds no exchanges. I do not recommend this business was a complete ripoff. Better to just walk learn from my experience.

Bike rentals in the park, 1/4 mile from the park cafe and about 4 miles from the lake. It’s a great Wally to see some neighborhoods and tour the park or ride into town. 2 -4hours is plenty of time. The bikes were average, not great.

We rented the 4-6 person Surrey, and let me tell ya, it will wear you out. Haha! We ride bikes all the time, so we're not out of shape. But these bikes made you work the entire time, just to go 5mph or so. It's not necessarily a bad thing, you just need to be prepared. We still had a lot of fun and it was definitely a worthwhile experience. The guys working there were nice and professional. You need to have a little patience when you go, because I think it's just two of them and they have to help people into/out of boats, get bikes out, process transactions, etc. You definitely need to do it at least once!
