a month agoWow this aviation and space museum was spectacular. It was cool to see the aircraft’s and take pictures. Plenty of parking and staffs were extremely friendly they even allowed us to take pictures with them! I highly recommend you to visit here if you are into planes and the history of Colorado Air National Guard.

a month agoFirst time ever visit and is well worth the time spent looking around for 3 hours. Great displays and signs with info. Motion activated lights in and around the aircraft to be able to see inside areas, very well thought out.

4 months agoBeautiful, clean, and informative outing! We love visiting Air and Space Museums, so this was an easy choice. The planes were well described on easy-to-understand signs. The rooms with various historical artifacts were well displayed. A great visit!

a month agoIt it a wonderful place filled with a magnitude of history from all different types of aircraft. There are always volunteers there to answer questions you may have, but sometimes they can be a little too talkative. They do answer your questions and are very knowledgeable, but standing and listening to them can get a bit tiring after 15 minutes. Be nice, but if you want to see more aircraft, politely walk away. The hanger the planes are in, has a story all by itself. You need at least 2 hours or more to immerse yourself in this great museum.

a month agoA Hidden Gem for Aviation & Space Enthusiasts Wings Over the Rockies is a quaint and fascinating flight museum located in the historic Lowry Air Force Base hangar, just outside of Denver. The museum leans heavily into military aviation history, but also offers a surprisingly robust section on space exploration, along with interactive exhibits and activities for kids of all ages. During our visit, they even had a paper airplane folding expert teaching kids how to craft and fly designs that soared beautifully through the massive open space between aircraft. It was such a cool, hands-on touch. The star of the collection is “The Bone,” an early prototype of the B-1 Bomber, and it’s truly impressive up close. You can buy tickets online, but I’ve never had an issue grabbing them at the door. Whether you’re an aviation buff or just looking for a fun, educational outing, Wings Over the Rockies is definitely worth a visit!
